listen to all you fair weather fans that are saying man this guy is a bust give the guy a chance we have played 3 games for god sakes.he missed alot of training camp and he just has some cathing up to do when this kid is just reacting and not thinking the whole nfl is going to know who #23 r.brown is...... ;)

i agree. i think his several abilities easily offset caddies. caddy might be the better pure runner. but ronnies blitz pickup and hands really mean so much. hes a rookie and really has picked up blitzers very well. his hands are lethal. once he gets this system down. man. hes gonna be deadly. imagine. he gets the line he needs to block for him.

Just Say No To Thinking

I totally agree. Some of these NFL players should, to use your point, just react and not think. Heck, if it works for our elected officials and can work for NFL players too.

almost all of the bust comments have subsided. i got hammered when i jokingly said he was a bust in another thread

shouright suggested he could be a star fullback, and its not far off. this is because brown is a very unusual player with his size and skill set. so he may be utiliized in some unconventional ways to maximize his production

one thing about him that has really stood out to me is that defenders rarely get a solid and square hit on him. imo, this can really frustrate the opposition. maybe this is what LSU players were talking about when they told Saban they would rather face caddy williams

Must we continue bringing up Caddy almost every time Ronnie Brown is mentioned?:yell:

come on clone. its a comparison by default

i merely connected a quality in brown i have noticed to a comment made by players who have faced him

im not talking about caddy at all. just saying brown may frustrate his opponents and offering a possible reason

I was referring to this post more than yours...It's not a big deal...It's just something that I've noticed happening so far this year...And it's starting to bug me a tad...But everything's groovy man...

Sadly enough this is going to happen as long as they are both playing in the NFL

Sure...What's not to like about Ronnie...He has great moves...Great speed...great hands...he's a good blocker...he has great size and power...And excellent balance from everything I've seen of him in College and so far in the Pro's...You can't arm-tackle him that's for sure! I think he has everything you could possibly ask for in an NFL Running Back. And there's even more...He's a great "character" guy...You won't be seeing any press clippings of him slapping women around or getting D.U.I.'s and stuff.

It's only been three games you don't know whos better....

what coach was speaking of in regards to Ronnie was that he was so physical and aggressive that he had more LSU players in the whirlpool than any other that they faced.

people just need to give ronnie more time. not only is it early in his rookie year and he held out for half of camp but he didn't get the usual amount of carries in college for a stud back either. it looks to me like hes still getting comfortable and improving his vision. everybody should have known when we drafted him that he has top notch skills but was not the best pure runner in the draft, that comes with experience.in my opinion he is allready ahead of schedule and will look really special by the end of this season.
