This is a thread to give some much deserved props to some players who deserve alot more credit than they are given.

Lets start with the entire team. I dont know about you guys but, I get sick of hearing how talented Dallas is. Yea, they are talented enough to win 9 games......thats all. They have 7 pro bowlers....you hear that alot. Well, Brett Favre is a pro bowler........thats all.

Reality is....all that so called talent just isnt that good. They are OVERRATED. They simply arent as good or as talented as for some reason, people believe they are.

Which gets to my point......this Miami Dolphins team is the total opposite. They are big time UNDERRATED. I get sick of hearing how we arent that talented.....BS. I get sick of hearing we win because we dont turn it over etc etc....thats all true, but there is a reason we dont turn it over alot......TALENT!!!!!!! ****ERS!!

Its like when will these douchebags on TV figure out that we are damn well talented. In fact we have MORE TALENT that certainly Dallas, and alot of other teams. Lets examine further.............

QB-- Talk about talent. Pennington is as golden as they come. A true PROFESSIONAL who plays smart and has a HELLUVA LOT OF TALENT. One of the best 10 QBs in the league. (Just for comparison Romo BLOWS and is the most overrated player in the game).

WR-- This area may not be the most talented, but they are certainly more talented than the sock puppets will have you believe.

RB-- We have the best talent in the league at this position. Ricky is absolutely incredible. Ronnie Brown is a player. Cobbs is as explosive as Leon Washington, but you wont hear his name as often. This is a very talented group of RBs in Miami. The leagues best.

TEs-- David Martin is extremely talented is the passing attack. Fasano is a great all around talent. They arent the best TEs in the league, but they are certainly very good. Together they are as good as any TE combo in the league.

Defensively, what can you say about the play of Andre Goodman down the stretch. While everyone was talking about Porter's sacks(and rightfully so), Andre Goodman has been the playmaker on this defense in December. What outstanding effort. That dude is TALENTED.

Plenty of other guys on our defense have TONS of talent. To say this team is just a bunch of over-achievers with lesser talent is just plain STUPID and demonstrates a lack of real football knowledge.

Ferguson, Holliday, Porter, Goodman, Bell, W.Allen are guys with serious talent. There are some other guys on that defense who are pretty damn good players themselves.

This Dolphins team has ALOT of TALENT!!!!!

Couldnt agree more, espicially with Goodman. Man this guy has become as a shutdown corner.

Great post as usual WV, couldn't agree more with your post. I think we should add though that we don't even need Asomugha anymore, Goodman IMO is playing as well as him at this point, thats a huge statement right there, but I stand by it.. Goodman has just been all over the place. Its a shame that hes 30 and he's just now showing up, but I hope we can lock this guy up for as long as we can.. along with Bell. Will Allen is good but I think he's replaceable to tell you the truth

I'll throw in some props to Andy Alleman and Ike Ndukwe. Being forced to replace Thomas for the whole season, Ndukwe really did a nice job, and if anything, deserves the chance to come back and compete for his spot. Alleman has done a nice job filling in for Justin Smiley. Those are my two players I'd give props to that don't get enough credit.

Runners up: tie - Nathan Jones and Erik Walden (even if he's only been here for a few games).

Just for all of you that might not be familiar with Mr. WVdolphan...

"Ronnie Brown is a player" = Ronnie Brown is amazing

I figured that you would lead of with Ricky, due to your incredible man-crush, but I applaud you for finally giving Ronnie his props!

I take that back, Will Allen is awesome

Excellent points. Havent we won every game since the Smiley injury? This OL has done an excellent job holding things together and perservering through some injuries.

Bess has stepped up big time as well at WR since Camarillo went down.

That reminds me, Walden is such a damn beast. He made a potential return TD saving tackle, and I swear all of his tackles have such power.. I really want to see them try him out at an actual LB spot

FASANO!!!! Dude really is our TE for the next 8 years. On the drive right after his TD catch if you notice he makes a nice block on an outside running play....Who knows how many nice plays i missed but from what I saw he played like a baller.

I think there's a spot for him in the future.

lets not leave dan carpenter off the list. He is doing really well for a rookie. Philip merling is a name that deserves to be in the discusion.

Great post as usual, but you all are forgetting all about the Front Office who brought all this talent to Miami. What about the Dan Henning for using the players strengths on his offense? to Pasqualoni for getting the best out of porter and Co. To Mr. Sparano for managing the games like a vet instead of a Rookie coach. Having said all that, the players were the ones that actually executed the plays and deserve the credit they are getting, I'm just sayin dont forget about the staff.

I think it's just amazing that almost every week we see a player step up big for the Dolphins. You gotta give Jeff Ireland some credit because he played a role in bringing once no-name players to Miami who have helped us throughout the year.
