How did he look on Sunday? It's very rare that I'm not watching the game in a prime spot, but I had a commitment and only got to stream the second half from my phone. I was really pleased to see him play well against the Bengals. I'm assuming he was just average against the Bears though. It's tough to watch exact players from a phone, so please give me your thoughts.

Thanks and Fins Up!!!

Not going to say top 10 MLB< but much better. Looks like the NFL speed is slowing down for him.

Did he get torched on the TD to Anthony Miller? Looked like he was extremely slow to recognize his responsibility.....unless it wasn’t his responsibility. It was difficult to tell from the replay.

Either way, a WR ran wide open through his area on 3rd & 9 in a key spot in the game. Only made less crushing because Albert Wilson went 75 yards to the house immediately after the breakdown.

How many linebackers in the NFL can keep up with a wide receiver?

IMO, that play was more McDonald’s responsibility. He was the deep safety splitting the outside WR (covered by Xavien Howard) and the inside WR Anthony Miller.

IIRC the Dolphins rushed 7 and the Bears max protected making it man for man with 3 pass receivers. TJ had a decision to make and he was late reacting. But when you seen Xavien lined up on the outside in a man on man situation and you see one of your LB’ers matched up with a receiver inside — you should know where to cheat and shouldn’t be late to react.

That’s how I saw it.

It really wasn’t an issue of him keeping up. He didn’t react until the WR was running free through his zone, and by that point he was 10 yards behind.

Again, I mentioned I wasn’t sure if Miller was Raekwon’s responsibility on the play. It was a completely blown coverage either way.

I agree, he was the only guy in the zip code and that's a stretch. I was wondering why we didn't have anyone on the slot but maybe it was a zone and he didn't get deep enough. Miller was so wide open I could have made that catch and walked in.

The Miller TD was a result of poor communication/blown assignment. Because he's still in OJT, I'd guess Raekwon bears at least some responsibility for it. But IMHO he is playing well considering it's his first season.

So aside from the ugly TD, which may or may not have been on him, what else did you guys think? I’d say he was decent

I recall a play where Trubisky was scrambling and raekwon’s man was coming that way, but RM realized trubisky was going to run it, peeled off his man and got the tackle short of a first down. Nice play

I've been critical of him but his last two games have been much much better.

I think we have our best LB unit since Dansby was here. They are gonna blow some plays, but the two kids from OSU have really upgraded the unit overall, and upgraded the athleticism on the defense significantly. And I think we can expect continued improvement given their attitudes (supposedly good) and inexperience.

That TD pass to Miller looked like blown coverage. But the LB core is looking pretty good. Really liking the Baker pick.

Miller TD looked like a bad call by Burke to me more so than a blown coverage...it looked like all the LB's went up to the line of scrimmage, which is odd since it was 3rd and 9. The only one that dropped back was Raekwon, and he had his eyes in the backfield.

It must have been one helluva play action by Mitch to suck guys up like that.

Anyway, with a name like Raekwon, you have to be a baller - no excuses.
