The Raiders come into this game 0-2 having played the arguably top team in the country and a tough divisional road game.

They average 384 ypg, 290 through the air but have struggled to put up points, although I think most teams will struggle to hang many on the Rams.

Defensively they have struggled against the run, and this is where I believe we can win the game.

I want to see old school ball control footbll running up their gut. Let's make the most of our (in my opinion) best offensive players, Gore & Drake.

My main grumble with Gase is he get's away from the running game too early, I know he loves the short, high percentage passes but nothing wears a D down like the old ground game. Then T'hill can take his shots downfield.

Historically, a classic matchup from the 70's, it will be a real shame that this is the last ever Oakland v Miami game.

Let's go Fins :)

Gase ended the last game with almost exclusively running the ball. Gase will call a good game. score early and often, and keep the Raiders defense on the hot humid field. Last time we faced Marshawn we stuffed him. Make Carr pass happy. That makes our opportunistic second dary happy.

Or any team. Why dramatics just for the Fins.......ask the Jets.
I agree, but I pretty much think the Jets still suck. What I meant by the phins could lose any game though is that while the talent is there I still see a sputtering offense, and a weakness covering the middle of the field on defense. They are obviously much better than most no dolphins fans thought they were however and I still think they are going to have a good season. If Ryan returns to his 2016 form though and we get a legit FS to stop all of these intermediate to deep plays over the middle then watch out... the phins would be real contenders imo.

Game is definitely not a gimme. I'm actually more nervous after watching Mayfield carve up the Jets defense last night. We seemed to struggle moving it against them at times. They also shut Darnold down where we gave up 334 yards. I know points is what matters and every game is different but I thought that Jets D looked legit against us and last night they didn't look that way. Why weren't we able to have our way with Claiborne like they did? Just got my wheels turning.

From everything I've read our matchups vs the Raiders are all strength (fins) vs weakness (raiders) so it lines up well. However, if Carr gets hot they could beat us. We'll see! I have a party Sunday, I hope I can catch most of it.

3 things that will hopefully help.

The trip from West Coast to East Coast may help us
South Florida Humidity
Khalil Mack is gone :)

I really want to see RT rebound from his rough 2nd half last week.
Hoping for a good game.

Need this conference win in a bad way!

We were near the top of the league at rushing attempts at 60 when I looked the other day so Im not sure its fair to say for this year Gase has been getting away from the runniing game.

I think hiring Studesville was an excellent hire for this staff. Lets see how the game plan unfolds Sunday but sure seems like that should be the game plan on O.

Cant let the Raiders get too far ahead on the scoreboard though...

I don't think you can say, "the Browns did this vs the Jets, we did this, so that equals such and such."
We played the Jets on the road, their home opener, they were coming off a big win. The Jets game vs the Browns was a road game for the Jets, their second game in a row on a short week. Too many different variables to draw comparisons of performances, I think. PLus Mayfield coming in for his first pro start had to have energized that team. Each week is its own deal in the NFL.
