Raiders in trade talk to get McCown

Looks like the Raiders might be interested in Josh McCown. According to the article they then might get a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round to develop. That will definitely affect the draft. Will that increase the chance that Quinn drops to us?

Absolutely. I believe that the Raiders go with Johnson and the Browns draft Russell/Peterson. This would enable Miami to move up to the 5th/6th pick and grab Quinn if he is still there.
 
No, if the Raiders get McCown from Det. then I expect Det. to go after Quinn. Kitna would then mentor him for 1 season and then he takes over...In Det.!!
 
No matter what happens, I still think Detroit goes with either Joe Thomas or Gaines Adams, and targets Stanton at the top of the second. They've been burned too much with QBs and Wrs at the top of the first.

Says Gruden really wants wr C Johnson so they tried to force Oak to pick a QB. I always knew the Plummer decision seemed strange.
 
honestly i think we're going like this

WR such as Ginn first round
QB like Stanton with the first of our 2nd round
OT with the second of our 2nd round
DB in the third
DL 4th
OG in first 6th
P in the second of 6th or did we pick one up/still have one?
RB in the 7th ricky williams isnt 100% in and we have no back up
and finally OL in the last of the 7th

That's a pretty interesting article. I thought it was weird, too them going after Plummer but it makes sense now.

what about russell? he probably would go to lions if they dont go after gaines, which has shown a huge interest in recently after there workout with him in detroit.
 
Why would it make any difference who the Raiders pick on the Lions choosing to take a QB or not? They do not like Russell considering Martz battered Culpepper saying he can't read defenses. That's supposedly Russell's knock although I don't believe it. The Lions might just be taking Gaines Adams, take that to the bank.

Me neither, but I am very anxious about this draft. Maybe I'm having very high expectations, but just the fact that we have 4 first day picks makes this the most exciting draft in years. I would love it if we could trade down and pick up another first day pick. That could be 5 possible starters down the road.
