Raiders move first-round OT Alex Leatherwood to guard during Thursday's practice

I liked this big fella coming out of Alabama but he has struggled mightily, so the Raiduhs have slipped him inside (for now).

I don't understand why we can't try that with AJax and if he sucks, so what? Won't lose a thing but the next game, as expected.

I think they wanted him to prove he couldn’t excel at Tackle first before they moved him. As I said in my 2021 Senior Offensive Line thread about Leatherwood:


“I've always kinda felt like Alex Leatherwood may move back to guard at the next level like he did in 2018 for Bama. I think he can be more of a dominant force there. As opposed to just surviving and being a JAG at tackle. It doesn't really impress me when somebody beats him out there on the edge playing tackle”.
