William Joseph is one player I acutally heard some people on hear say they would want to sign this offseason. I think there were about 5-6 players that everyone on here wanted that they didnt think was garbage. William Joseph was a 1st round pick #25 draft choice of the Giants in 2003. He is 6'5" 308lbs. He is a good size for a DT. He could be a great run stuffer with coaching from Sparano and co. He moves laterally real well. He pushes lineman off the line with ease. MOves to the action to make the tackle. He is naturally strong and wraps up to bring opponents down with initial contact. He would be a good fit here since he can also rush the passer. We have Ferguson but I dont know if he is better than Joseph. I think we take a look I mean we are not bringin in anyone and we had the first choice of players. I dont understand what is going on I mean BP cant be that happy with our team the way it is. NO WR and NO CB have even been looked at. We need to do something

So because we 'need to do something', we should bring in an underachieving bust at a position we are pretty much set at? Just 'to do something'?

Gotcha.

i think you answered your own question

arent we quite deep already with talented youth and vets on the d front, also havent we enjoyed watching them play well together and improve so much over thge pre-season.... i think we ok, instead of spending money on dissapointments from other squads

We have 8 guys playing 3 positions on the defensive line. We have 7 guys playing 4 positions at linebacker. I would rather see a linebacker brought in.

You may not know, but I'm pretty sure most of us do. Ferguson is by far better than Joseph.

As for no WRs being looked at, I believe that is the position played by waiver claim Brandon London.

Brandon London.... so pumped, filled with hope on this kid!!! :)

Maybe last year, when our DL depth was thinner than Kate Moss after a colonic. This year they've made the DL one of the deeper units in the league. So, I don't think we really need to bother with a guy like William Joseph.

If William Joseph did all those things that you are claiming he does in the NFL, he would probably still be on the NY Giants or at the very least still a Raider.

As far as BP not being happy with our team, he's probably not and that is why he is REBUILDING the team. This is not an overnight project and will take about three years to get it where he wants it to be.

OK, good set of pros you listed, now how about listing all his con's that allowed him to get released by 2 teams.

http://www.miamidolphins.com/newsite/news/top_story.asp?contentID=6006 As you can see we got a WR, C, and DT off waivers and added them to the roster. I loved William at the U but agree with the others that he has been a bust. Their is talent there but if and how long it would take to tap into it may not be worth teh price of time. Ireland said he is happy with the roster but we would continue to watch the waiver wire. that is probably why our PS isn't filled completely yet.
