Teams around the league have confirmed that Oakland is shopping its two high-profile receivers -- Randy Moss and Jerry Porter -- seeing what it can get in return. Problem is, it's a buyer's market. ... It would surprise nobody if neither receiver returns to Oakland this season, whether each is traded or even released. Should the Raiders release Moss, they would get the greatest return he could bring: Oakland would free up his $9.75 million base salary and save $7.75 million against its salary cap this season and another $9.25 million next season, space that could and would be used on other players. Porter's contract voids after this season, so teams would be leery about trading for him. If Oakland cut him now, the Raiders would lose $4 million in salary-cap space this season, so it looks like, for now, Porter is back in Oakland.

This has to be an inclination that the Raiders might draft Calvin Johnson. I really hope they trade with Green bay soon and draft Calvin Johnson.

CJ come on down! Russell pack yo bags! CLEV awaits!

Like I've said before, I would take Moss in a heartbeat if the price was right. The guy has way too much talent to pass on. He's also better than any of our WR, so lets get him. He needs a change of scenery anyways, and Miami could be the place for him to light it up again.

Both guys would have to restructure their contracts to come here. Now, if neither Kelley Washington nor Donte' Stallworth wanted to come here, why would Moss or Porter?

This is the BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE in this years draft. The only possible reason he is not #1 player is NEED by Raiders.

If Raiders solve QB with a nice second tier QB, they prefer to draft WR, DL, RB, S, CB.

If Raiders take Calvin Johnson, Quinn free falls, Miami may land Brown or Thomas, if not then Omobie Okoye.

i'd trade daunte c. ,marty booker , and a third round pick for Mosss/4th/6th round pock.

we could stick chambers in the slot, with moss/and derek hagan on the outside.

 - I had to go back and read the thread name, but yeah I was right the first time, it is all about Moss and Porter..... Dont think either are entering the draft this year:lol:

First, not sure the Raiders or anybody else want C-Pepp.
Second, Is this because Moss has been SOOOO proficient the last couple of years? :shakeno:
This guy HAD all the talent in the world, but, his ego got in the way, his agent told him to go for ALL the money in the world-and he listened, and besides the fact that his salary would mean we would have to cut 3 or 4 other players, he takes plays off, and refuses to block downfield....:tantrum:

No thanks....
