Peyton Manning’s free agency has caused plenty of excitement in the NFL because it’s rare a Hall of Fame quarterback becomes available. Teams are recruiting him, wining and dining him, and preparing to sign him to a multi-million dollar deal. The problem is Manning may not be the MVP player we remember.Though he’s reportedly made progress over the past month, sources told Yahoo! Sports says he still has a ways to go.

Makes you pause for just a moment and think...Why did the Colts flop so hard to get Luck while coming to the conclusion Peyton was done. Think about our own legend Marino...Looking back would you trade his last 2 years for a #1 prospect and youth to do it all again? Would you have wanted to be the team with the immobile/aged version of Dan? Just sayen...

I have reservations and it's the price getting to high. Everyone claims Ross is the man to outbid but if Manning chooses Miami, he will most likely be getting less money then what the broncos would be willing to pay.

This has been my concern all along. This is why I think signing him would be a mistake. Too much money, falling production, age, etc...etc... Problem is, there are so few options available to us and the desperation of the the fans and the increasing pressure on team management to get a franchise guy is justifiably high. Tough situation for everyone.

There will not be one single NFL player this season driven to succeed more than Peyton Manning. He wants to tell everyone "**** you for doubting me". Now whether or not that can happen or not remains to be seen but it if has even a 50/50 shot of happening, take the odds.

Either way I hope whatever happens is the right choice...They have not made the correct move in many moons.

options are slim at this point. do we want the one hit wonder flynn?
do we wait around and battle the browns, seahawks, chiefs(or possibly broncos and cards, now that we know they are willing to drop kolb and tebow in a split second) for tannehill?
or do we take the chance on an all pro qb?

It doesn't make me pause at all. I don't follow the media bull**** that keeps spewing out about this whole thing. If he is a Dolphin, I am extremely happy. If he isn't, I will be disappointed but that's life. They are trying to create news, where there is none.

If Peyton Manning wants a kings ransom, you Pay him. Screw the cap. Cut the players to make it happen. We are talking about Peyton Manning being our QB. WE will have excitement, big plays, and enter every game knowing we have a shot to win. WE have not had that since Marino.
I would rather have the next 3 years in the playoffs competing for the super bowl, instead of toiling in mediocre grooming another guy while watching the Broncos or Cardinals win super bowls. After Manning is done, we can rebuild again at that point. Time to mortgage the future. This team is beginning to peak...all we need is a QB and a couple more pieces. The Giants were dead at one point last season, squeeked into the playoffs, and won the super bowl...because of another Manning. We can do it too.

If we don't get manning all we can hope for is that Luck snubbs Indy and demands a trade....then we make our move and trade to get Luck
