Well, the league apparently agrees with me and a few others. Raja has been suspended for game six. Personally, I think he needed to be gone for the rest of the series, but this is a validation that what he did was excessive and wrong. Bell wasn't finished though. He called Kobe an arrogant, pompous individual for whom he has no respect for.

Hey Tinker Bell, feeling is probably mutual. Just because you can't handle physical play (which, if you look at the replays, wasn't so much physical play as Raja doing a Divac impression) doesn't mean you get to haul off and try to injure someone. Grow up and act like the supposed professional you are.

Nash seems upset too. He seems to think the Lakers are getting away with murder why his wittle itty bitty Suns can't catch a break. I suppose all those ticky tack fouls, delay of game penalties and whistles all went L.A's way.

Nash, why not blame your boneheaded teammate and your lack of control of the ball late in games for your team's collapse rather than the refs and Kobe. Come on Stevie, we all thought you were better than that.

Hey someone agrees with me. I mentioned that yesterday but the suns fan said I was making excuses. Either the lakers played bad. Lamar, and Brown were in foul trouble and with the turnovers the should of score 150pts. But all this is end in game 6. Enjoy watching the playoffs from home RAJA.

Havnt we had enough suspensions? I really dont mind if they fine the guy 100k or some other ridiculous sum, but suspending any player in the playoffs in uncalled for. If you actually cause an injury then I could understand, but otherwise its just another case of officials deciding the outcome of a game and not the players. Noone, not even Phil or Kobe, wants to see the Lakers win because of this.

He should have gotten more

I thought it was really bad the first time, I saw it again on PTI and thought it was even worse

Did you see the play? Judging by that post I dont think so because it deserves a suspension

What he did was no worse than what Kaman did or what Posey did...All those incidents were a case retaliation, he got suspended and I wont agrue that he shouldnt have...But 1 game is obviously enough..It sucks thats it at a pivotol time in a very exciting series though...

Posey shoulderd a guy from the side

Raja slammed a guy in the neck and threw him to the floor

BIG DIFFERENCE

I love physical play, I applauded the Posey hit I thought it was great, but when I saw Raja I thought that was cheap

The League gives stupid suspensions though, they do it all the time

Kobe will drop 50+ on the suns game 6 though and the series will be over, and if it does go to game 7, Kobe will light it up then with Raja back on the floor

only 8 team have ever came back being down 3games

I hope Kobe does have a good game, we can beat them easier if he tries to take over..In the end this may benefit the Suns more than hurt them...

Uhm, did you not see what happened to Kaman? I think he was WELL within his rights to retaliate. You could argue that what happened to him was worse than what happened to Kobe.

Posey cheapshotted a guy from behind. Not so much different than Raja cheapshotting Kobe. And it was a cheapshot. Raja can piss and moan about getting hit with elbows, ut the fact of the matter is, he wasn't. Watch the replays, he flops from a forearm in the chest and flops again without being hit. He was frustrated in guarding Kobe and still holds a grudge to what Kobe said about him in the past.

The guy basically said he was going to attack Kobe before the game, then went out and did it. It wasn't a reactionary shot. It was premeditated and dangerous. End of story.

The point is that it doesnt matter what he did. No harm came from it other than his suspension and whatever effect that is going to have on the Suns as a team. You are deliberately attempting to alter the outcome of a game based on the actions of an individual. I can understand suspensions in meaningless regular season games but in the playoffs its uncalled for. Its not the player thats being punished, its the team and the fans.

I'm sorry you feel this way.And who's to blame for putting his team in this position? So let me see if I got this right,if he had hurt Kobe(which affects "his"team)then it's ok to suspend someone. If the NBA let this kind of stuff "slide" with no repercussions then teams would go back to when they had "enforcers"(guys like Maurice Lucas and Rick Mahorn)that would intimidate players with "hardfouls".
