This is good for his trade value. The fact that one team admits it, that is very credible, helps. Ultimately, you want more than one bidder, because then things get interesting and you have a better chance of a good deal. The problem remains the contract the Dolphins gave Ramsey. This is also an issue w/ regard to trading Tyreek. Those contracts were big mistakes in more than one way. Why the Rams are admitting this, and theoretically driving up the market for a player they seem to want (back), is beyond me. Maybe they are not interested, but McVey is still pals with Ramsey and is just doing this to drive up interest to help get Ramsey out of Miami? PS turns out Hunter Long, who we traded to them as part of the Ramsey deal, graded out as one of the best blocking TE's in the NFL, while Julian Hill was about the worst.

“There’s not too much of an update,” McVay told Adam Schein of SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio, according to Rams Wire. “He is a total stud, and you look at, obviously he has continued to play at a really high level. He and I have kept in great touch even since we ended up trading him to Miami. Special competitor, great person, great father. And so there are a lot of layers when you’re talking about a player of his caliber. ‘All right, with regards to the contract, the compensation that they would be looking for in exchange for receiving a player of his magnitude.’ And so those conversations are ongoing, as I’m sure they are with multiple teams. And we’ll see, but we’re never going to shy away from opportunities to increase the competitiveness of our roster or add great players as long as it fits within the framework of everything that an acquisition like that would entail.”

"The biggest issue, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, appears to be Ramsey’s giant contract"

Wow. We found common ground. I agree with you. 😀

We pay some of his salary, they (or another team) send us back a 3rd round pick, or give him the Jimmy Butler treatment that he got from the Heat and make this a miserable wasted year for him near the end of his prime. Play or go home.

This whole “work with the player to find a preferable trade destination” thing doesn’t sit right with me here. I’d have been okay with going that route with Calais midseason 2024, or an actual professional like Terron. Ramsey? Send his ass to Cleveland.

That’s my personal stance. The player friendly Dolphins will likely cave though.

Any player on the Rams that Miami realistically could target?
I was looking at their depth chart.

Anybody who we would want, they're not giving up. Aside from them they really dont have anybody I would want so it might be hard to make a player for player trade.

I dont care about sending him where he wants to go. All I care about is doing whats best for the Dolphins.

If trading him to the Browns for Newsome is the best we can do then make that trade.

I would take the right offer for Tyreek Hill as well.
