And they give us their 2nd round pick, or something
 
don't see it, but it would be amazing. after hitting the jackpot with pace, and him being on the major decline, they could see if lightning strikes the same place twice and take jake. after all, pace played a major role in faulk being a star and has helped jackson leaps and bounds. while not probable, certainly possible.

they would have to give up something extra, were not just going to hand the pick over to them. We gotta make them sweat a little

you werent the only one to think that. you were the only one to say it though.. and yes.. it would be awesome.. Although without a player like Jake to protect Beck, we wouldnt be getting the ball to Holt too much

holt's old though. would be great for a year or two, but after that? need more for #1 overall.

Cant argue with that. Unless he turns into a jerry rice and brings whichever team he goes to to a superbowl. Somehow I do not think that would be happening with us. We dont have a Rich Gannon
 
If they offered their 1st, 2nd, and either a 4th or 5th round pick I say we snatch that trade like a champ! This draft is deep with a capital "D" in the middle rounds. Any picks we can get in rounds 2 - 5 would be outstanding!
 
why in the hell would they trade their second round pick to swap picks ? they can have a player as good as Jake Long with the 2nd overrall and they pay him less... and let's not forget that they can draft an OT with their second if they really seek one through the draft.... you guys are crazy, if the rams offer 1st and 3rd round, or even a 1st and 4th round, Ireland will take it without hesitation... you're able to get out of 1st overrall money, that's our main objective
 
There's not much difference between the first pick and the second pick as far as the money goes...money isn't the problem...the right player is.
 
The only problem with this is...we need and OT who can start immediately.

As I posted in another thread, the only way we can trade out of the pick is if we think Branden Albert is just as good or better and take him with the pick we receive (either the Rams' or Chiefs' pick).
