Rams want late pick for Holt Jets interested per Rotoworld

I think we should give a 7th rounder for him. He could be released but why try to get in a bid war for him. If the Jets get him that gives them Cotchery and Holt, Bills have Evans and Owens, Pats have Moss and Welker. We have well Ginn and Bess. And no CB to cover them. I think we need to make a push for Holt. He is only 31 so he has a few years left. Housh and Coles are just as old and got long term deals. Sign Holt for 2-3 years and let him teach. He has been good for 1100+ yards in 10 of his 12 seasons 1 was his rookie year the other was last year with bad QB play. We arent going to get anything special with our 7th anyways.

Might not be a bad Idea if we can get away with giving up only a 6th or 7th. Just to keep the jets from getting him. I think he fit with the other wideouts. A go to guy on 3rd down who can get open. Teams would not be able to play 8 in the box because Ginn or Holt could go deep. Plus it would free up Bless and the TE over the middle. I think he has a lot left in the tank.

no.. you guys need to worry about what THIS team needs and not sign a player just because you want to keep him from another team... i say draft CB, NT, LB, WR... forget Holt hes old and he doesnt fit a need.. we need a BIG WR....

Holt is on the decline. The Rams know this or they wouldn't be looking to move him.
