With the trade for Harrington coming soon, which QB would you prefer, Harrington for a 6th round pick or Ramsey for a 6th? In 2002 Harrington was drafted 3rd overall, and Ramsey was drafted 32nd overall.

I hate to be diplomatic (too much time in the depths) but they are different players for different needs.

Ramsey is to come in and compete with Chad for a shot at starter. He has every chance of winning it, injury or not. He has more experience and has played on better teams.

Harrington is the backup and is meant to be the backup for Dante. The only way Dante doesn't start is if he is still seriously injured.

Again, looking at last year to this year.

Upgrade: Dante > Sage
Upgrade: Joey > AJ

It is true that they will be filling different needs for each team, but who would you rather have on your team? I agree that Ramsey has played on better teams, but Joey has had more experience.

Both has had there ups and downs and both has shown some talent in there games. I really couldn't tell you who I would perfer. Comparing Harrington's first two years and his last two years, he has improved his game and he should keep improving while Ramsey does the same with the Jets.

Ive never liked Ramsey, he has a nice strong arm but lacks everything else to be a NFL QB

Id take Harrington over him any day

I'd much rather take Ramsey. Harrington probably has more potential, but Ramsey has shown much more on the field thus far than Harrington has...jmo

No. He was actually giving the Dolphins QB situation a compliment. Not every opposing team's fans come here to talk smack.

He's a Jets fan. Not a Bills fan. That means he has AT LEAST somewhat of a brain.

Give me Ramsey every day of the week.

Harrington has had EVERY oppurtunity under the sun. Had an offense built for him. Was throwing to mulitple first round picks and still he **** the bed time after time. I think he could be an ok backup Q.B. but, if he has to play for long stretches of time you're doomed.

Ramsey was thrown to the wolves. He got behind Steve Spurrier's "protection" schemes so he could get his head kicked in for the better part of two seasons.

I think the Jets stole one when they got him. Give him a year to learn the scheme and realize he won't get his *** kicked everytime he drops to throw and he could be a pretty good player in this league.

If they were both starting today and I mean today I would prefer Ramsey. But that can always change with every player in the NFL.

I always liked Harrington and thought that he was in a bad situation in Detroit. I think he will thrive if he can get out of there. Big pick up for you guys because who knows if culpepper will be ready. As for Ramsey he is also unproven and hope he does well. I think each will do better in their new surroundings.

I'd have to agree with this assessment. If Ramsey's "ruined", it's because he played for Spurrier and got gun-shy (it's called self-preservation). Gibbs brought in Brunelle and Ramsey never got a shot at starting.

I like Pennington, but I'd love to see Ramsey development into a first-rate NFL QB just to spite the crew in Washington. :D
