Ramsey Trade Becoming Problematic?

That's not my theory though. It's just a theory. A theory about which I already said this:

I never said I believed it, just that it sounded believable. In fact, since that story originated from notorious hacky piece of **** Armando Salguero, I'm far less inclined to believe it.

I said it before and I'll say it again: We don't know what caused the split between Miami and Ramsey.
Alf Arteaga from 3YPC offers up some interesting takes on the Ramsey situation, it's right at the beginning of the pod below. He says Ramsey was acting like a crybaby last year, McDaniel called him out and Ramsey didn't like his tone, and it all went downhill from there. Alf hinted that Ramsey may not have been following the specific "rules" of the defense ( i.e. coming up trying to make a play when the defense called for him to carry the receiver downfield more, exposing the rest of the defense). It's worth a listen, also has a tidbit about how the Dolphins made a call about George Kittle this offseason . It's Alf's informed take, he does not cite specific sources

I don't think it's weird at all. Ramsey is an aging asshole who teams don't think is worth $20M per season and they would be correct based on his play last season. Pretty simple really.
lol... you don't think its weird that they gave him an multi year extension just one year ago and now Chris Grier is very ambiguously trying to trade him and that the situation is SO completely unworkable but no one is saying anything about it?

Well, that makes one of us.

Why can't we just keep him for 1 more year? It makes no sense.

What he's a locker room cancer? Maybe that locker room needs a little cancer, it definitely needs something.

This is a business and we f****** own his rights. Play or give us our money back b****, nobody wants your a**.
No one want to pay any of the money Miami has into him. He pulled this in Jax, pulled it in LA, and now in Miami. I wouldn't trade him. Keep him at this point and fine him for not being there. I'm sure eventually he would get "injured" like he did in Jax.

Ramsey didn't pull anything in LA. The relationship there was good by all accounts - they were just facing serious cap issues and needed some relief. I don't think the Rams would be pegged as the top trade candidate for Ramsey all this time if there had been issues there during his first stint.

He wanted out because he knew they were resetting. No, he didn't pull the same stuff he did in Jax or Miami, but he wanted out. He has always been about the money.

In a sense that's fair, but he was an elite player on a team who couldn't afford to pay him anymore. I would imagine close to 99% of players in the same circumstances would also want to find a new team who could afford them.

I heard the same thing from another podcast about Ramsey.

I guess our military has softened significantly since I was in. We couldn’t be sissies when I served
Well it was 1985 and the guy in my platoon that did it had a worse time than he would of if he did basic.

This was my thinking too, until I saw the amount he signed for. Even if they only get 8 games out of him, he won't hit the incentives and only cost around 500k per week played.

Plus he'll be 29 next off-season, angling for one more big deal. As a result, I think he'll miraculously stay healthy this year, give the Ravens some good play, and move on. If he cashes in big, the Ravens could even gain a decent comp pick.
I'd like to see Kohou and two of the young, unproven corners nail down the three starting CB spots and play 17 games each. Duck and Isaiah Johnson, for example. There is something to be said for continuity in the secondary. Almost as much as on the OL.

So, maybe, maybe not? - LOL
