Kerry Wynn of Richmond has visit with Miami Dolphins
http://blogs.nfl.com/2014/04/04/randell-johnson-of-fau-worked-out-by-miami-dolphins-coach/Representatives from 12 NFL teams were present at Florida Atlantic’s pro day on Friday for a workout that took place outdoors on FieldTurf.
Cornerback Keith Reaser (5-foot-10 3/4, 183 pounds) was invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, but the only drill he was able to execute was the bench press. Reaser had knee surgery on Oct. 17, 2013, and then again on Feb. 27, 2014 (performed by Dr. James Andrews). As a result, he will not be able to do any on-field activities until at least September.
Randell Johnson, LB (6-foot-3 1/4, 244) — Johnson ran the 40-yard dash in 4.64 and 4.62 seconds. He had a 38 1/2-inch vertical jump and 10-foot broad jump. He had a short shuttle time of 4.39 seconds and did the three-cone drill in 7.21 seconds. Johnson performed 23 lifts of 225 pounds on the bench press. Miami Dolphins linebackers coach Mark Duffner put Johnson through the on-field positional drills. Johnson showed good, quick feet and that he can move really well. Johnson operated okay as an outside linebacker in space. He is a possible seventh-round draft choice or priority free-agent pickup possibility following the conclusion of the 2014 NFL Draft.
Kerry Wynn of Richmond has visit with Miami Dolphins
Representatives from 20 NFL teams were present at Richmond’s pro day on March 18, when three Spiders football players and 14 additional athletes from area small colleges worked out indoors on FieldTurf.
Kerry Wynn, DT (6-foot-5, 267 pounds) — Wynn, who was at the NFL Scouting Combine, ran the 40-yard dash just once — in 4.70 seconds — due to a tight right hamstring. He ran the short shuttle in 4.73 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.53 seconds. Wynn has 32 1/4-inch arms.
Wynn visited with the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday, and is probably going to be a third-day selection — sixth or seventh rounds — in the 2014 NFL Draft.
