LETS GO METS
Great trade for the Knicks. Francis and Frye are going to the blazers for Randolph, Dickau and I am not sure of the 3rd person...
Frye as a stud? Uh you havent seen him play have you? Hes a jump shooting 7 footer and hes not that good at it. Francis has been in 1 playoff series in his career so I question what kind of leadership he brings.I think this was a great trade for the BLAZERS. Kind of a win-win, but the Blazers are moving in a direction that means Randolph won't be needed as much, and Frye is a stud-in-the-making. Francis is Francis, and that young team could use the vet presence

I understand the moving in a different direction but you dont give away a talented player for absolute crap.
Exactly, last time i said that was getting Crawful on his rookie contract for absolute crap. Looks pretty familir to this except Randolphs about 6 inches taller, 80lbs more expensive, and about 50m more expensive then Crawful was at the time.I think the Knicks really won this trade and its not that close. How often do you say the Knicks got the better end of a trade?
Just because Frye was great in college (which by the way 16/8 is not great) He had an OK rookie year, nothing special and last year completely regressed to all the negative things they said about him when he left college thats hes soft, cannot defend, cannot play with his back to the basket, and is not a real good rebounder.I don't think they got "absolute crap" at all. Frye gives them depth and range at the size positions. Dude was great in college, clutch and made some huge plays. He had a real solid rookie season but wasn't so good last season. He's only 23 or 24 so he's got tons of potential.
Francis will bring leadership to that team. Did I say he'll bring Brett Favre leadership? No. I said he'll bring a veteran presence. He's been in this game, he knows the in's and out's. He knows how to deal with the media, the pressure, the hype, the fame, etc. That's what he can help the younger guys with. Why in the hell does he need rings on his fingers to do that?
I thought Steven A Smith was gonna have an orgasm over this deal.
The Knickerbockers still won't beat my Sixers. :)
