Random rant: Keep our youth! Remember charles clay

Sitting here remembering how good Charles Clay was for the fins. And got angry thinking how can we let a young talented youth walk like Charles Clay? And are we going to do it again with Vernon, Matthews and Miller? Was I delusional in how good he was, so i started to watch some vids and it just got me even angrier. Clay was good, unique and a mismatch hell for defenses.

Please dolphins, let go of these older veterans, resign the young veteran, and lets get a TightEnd that can get separation in the draft.
 
1. He got a pretty ridiculous contract for having good, but not great, numbers.
2. If Cameron had a good season here, you wouldn't have made this post.
 
You can't pay all the guys who come they their first FA period. This is why you need solid drafts to get cheaper players who are ascending to replace some of the guys who must in effect graduate from Miami.

This is where we have failed miserably.
 
Agree Clay commanded too much. Carroll finally came around his contract year and from what the Eagles paid we should have matched. If Miller is asking too much I say RBs are more replaceable. Really depends.
 
Clay took a while to develop, was injury prone, and not a red zone threat. He wasn't perfect.

He was great for RT, some of RT problems this yr was he didn't have that guy who could do it all at the TE position...most importantly he was a excellent blocker in the running game...
 
The best part of this video was hearing Tannehill yell "go" before just about every play.

We really do need to keep Vernon and Miller. I would love to keep Matthews, but it is hard to justify paying a third or fourth WR big money.
 
What? If anything Miami was correct on NOT paying Clay. He cannot stay healthy. That being said it wouldn't bother me to resign Vernon and Miller BUT I also could care less if they walk.

Matthews is gone. Get over that one.

Wait have you seen clay contract, have you seen how much we are paying Jordan?

And those who saying Clay injury prone, we replaced him with more expensive TEs who are MORE injury prone

You do know that we can cut Jordan Cameron and save a **** ton of money and Clay is a Bill for a long time...being paid like a guy who does more then 500 yards receiving and 3 TDs....

Clays contract is bad...Jordan Camerons was a one year prove it deal essentially
