-Such a weird game statistically. Raiders had 25 first downs to our 13. Their 3rd down efficiency was 53% to our 25%. They had 74 plays to ur 39!! and time of possession: they had the ball for 38:31 to our 21:29!
They were in the redzone 5 times to our 1 time.
-Jakeem Grant is our poor man's Tyreek Hill. He's special. I cant believe some of us wanted him cut, and maybe rightfully so, when he muffed so many kicks.
-Albert Wilson > Jarvis Landry. Landry is consistently solid, just not spectacular but in a game where being just good clearly hasn't been enough for us, Wilson has the potential to do something amazing every time he touches the ball.
-Wilson and Grant on the field at the same time will keep defensive coordinators worried all season
-Amendola, with his catches in traffic is awesome but damn, Tannehill's gonna get him killed
-So refreshing to see DVP with that 36 yard catch. He still is so fragile when he gets tackled. I've never seen him break a tackle (referring to his other catch)
-And then there's Stills. Our most consistent wideout. Fast, good route runner, good hands. That TD pass and catch was a thing of beauty. Should've had another one on Tannehill's only poor throw of the night.
-On those shotgun, play action plays where the LBers sink in and Tannehill consistently hits Amendola for 10-12 yards, I'd love to see Wilson or Grant in that spot as they have the potential to break that one tackle and go all the way.
-We couldn't run against a terrible run defense.. Cause for concern?
-Tannehill's run on 3rd and long to get a key first in the 4th was huge
-Unlike in the past with other Fins QBs, this year, with Tannehill, when he drops back, I'm never worried that he's going to throw a terrible interception. At the same time though, I am worried about his lack of pocket presence and his bad timing for getting sacked
-Vincent Taylor needs to play a lot more
-Xavien Howard is our best CB in years
-Not worried about Minkah, just shows you how important R Jones is with those Jordy Nelson wide open catches. That'll get fixed
-4th and goal at the 1 and Gruden decides to try a FB dive with a guy who had 2 career rushes in 4 years. Lynch was gashing us all game long. Dumb call but I'll take it
-Amazing stop by I believe Godchaux on that 4th and goal who has been stout against the run all season.
-Refs were terrible at the end of the first half. Phantom offensive PI calls on the same drive I think? and the "holding" call on Kilgore. Yikes, that could have been costly.
-Sanders has a booming leg. Keep kicking it out of the endzone
-Gesicki has some strong hands. I see him overtaking the #1 TE spot soon
-Hopefully Hayes is okay, dude is a beast
-Walt Aiken running past Nelson on his muffed punt. Stand right beside the dude!
-McTyer didn't look good. Bad awareness on a 3rd and long and I think he was at fault for one of Nelson's wide open catches.
-This is the first year in forever where we actually have a multitude of special players.
-Outside of the Chiefs, nobody really looks special in the AFC. I think we can make some noise. Just gotta win 7 out of the next 13. Let's go Lions, surprise the world tonight!
