Two former Dolphins that could be signed for a bargain contract.

There's no way Starks could be worse than Mitchell, and would be good as a rotational lineman.

Carroll is a quality player who would be lightyears better than Jamar Taylor or the other corpses Miami had at corner other than Grimes.

Nolan Carroll ahould never have been allowed to leave. Less fussed on Randy

Is this the official bring back our former players thread?

Dan Carpenter should be available soon too. I remember many were furious he wasn't a Dolphin anymore when he had brief success with the Bills.

Nolan Carroll improves every season. When you compare the duds we drafted in Jamar Taylor (2nd round) and Will Davis (3rd round), that made him expendable, it goes to show that some of our player evaluators aren't all that good. I'd welcome Carroll back but he'd probably cost around $5M per season.

I think both are decent pieces, but I wouldn't go out of my way to bring them back here. Carroll has been an OK #2 CB. It was certainly dumb to let him walk for the peanuts he was signed for. I'd rather have more of a plugger than Starks, but he'd be a cheap backup plan and still probably has a year or 2 left.

BRING BACK TED GINN! (sarcasm)

I want Carroll back absolutely.

Starks, idk. How has he been lately? I think any problems he had with the staff, they are probably gone, so it would be more about coming back to some of the guys he knew / playing here in Miami. Always liked him when he was here though. Wonder what Soliai is up to, he could take up some space for us lol

Carroll was playing very well up until injury. Better than some giving credit for here

Honestly seems to be getting a lot of credit on here. I feel like decent #2 CB is a pretty fair evaluation personally. I wouldn't be mad if he was our #2 CB next year.

It was silly to let Starks walk for just $. How much better would Suh have been with fellow space-eater RT by his side?

I would have liked to keep Randy but i think giving the staff a finger sealed his fate.

Nolan was not good at all when he was forced to start. Don't know about counting on him as the second CB.

yeah I didn't mean to be disrespectful. Live in suburbs outside of Philly & watched most games & I feel he played very well, by no means shutdown but was best corner on the Eagles
