With the drafting of two 3-4 DEs (and yes Merling is a DE in the 3-4, although its posssible that he could play OLB, it is looks more likely that he'll stay at DE), I feel that Starks will be a full time NT to spell Jason Ferguson. We now have the following players on the DL: Holliday, Wright, Roth, Merling, Langford, Ferguson, Starks, Soliai. That's 8 players and I don't think we will keep more than 7. Who gets cut? Soliai possibly if Starks is a fill-time NT. Holliday due to his age and salary is a possibility. Anybody know what the cap hit would be? Another possible cut is Roth due to his lack of size. Who do you guys think we get rid of?

Roth is probably traded for a 2009 conditional pick. He's best suited as a 4-3 end. Holliday stays because he'll need to start and mentor the rookies this year.
