Its obvious the top 3 are Csonka, Brown, and Williams. How would you rank three as the best in Dolphins history?

zonk, ricky ronnie tie. if ronnie stays he will pass both in yardage and td's of course, but zonk has accomplished the most so he is #1

I imagine that you would have to include Mercury Morris in the mix, he was the game breaker. Between 1970 and 1973 his ave. gain was in order 6.8, 5.5, 5.3, and 6.4, and if I am not mistaken I believe that he has the all-time ave. gain career wise in the NFL.

if morris in in this its a whole new ball game. its to hard between mercury and zonk. this is a hard question.

it blows my mind cecil collins is not in this discussion.
seriously though ,i know youre talking about rushing. tony nathan had over 7000 yds with his rushing and receiving with 32 tds. it gets overlooked a lot but he was a solid player for us many years. not saying hes the best but should be mentioned among the greats.

I was gonna say, where the heck is reality? Mercury is comfortably above Ronnie and Ricky. Csonka is #1 and Mercury is #2.

I don't care what the stats were. Those games mattered, the peak of the franchise and potential for centuries of legend via 1972. It's bad enough when posters fawn over the Marino years and try to elevate players and games from those years, far above what they were. At least there was an occasional playoff appearance with advancement. Ronnie and Ricky have been here when nothing is going on, for the most part.

Ricky's first year here, he was running like A. Peterson.

If you look at a player's peak, I would rank Ricky #1 for that year.

Also, it's still too early to rank Ronnie. He has the talent to top the list, but has to put together a few seasons at the clip he's going to deserve mention.

Geez names like Cecil Collins takes me back to the dark days of Dolphins Running backs. Names like John Avery come to mind and being excited that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar actually broke 1000 yards. Glad those days are over and our biggest qualm in the running game is which highly talented back to hand it off to.
