Read that. Miami is a defense and TE producing machine.

...and yet the Fins never draft the good Canes.

We waste our time on the Yatil Greens and Twan Russells of the world.

While NE gets Vince Wilfork, the Jets get Santana Moss and the Bills get Willis McGahee.

Maybe we just need to suck more so we can draft better high-ranking Canes?

and starting with edgerrin james nearly a decade ago, a rb factory
Forgot about that too. But Auburn does take the #1 spot. Funny that almost every Miami player has character problems or are just plain a-holes lol.

S.I. was being generous to both Georgia and Auburn, you could have made better arguments that Miami is the best at producing talent at those positions too. Miami is DL University--Kevin ***an, Jerome Brown, Cortez Kennedy, Russell Maryland, Warren Sapp, Kenard Lang, Kenny Holmes, Vince Wilfork. Miami had five defensive lineman taken in one draft in 2003. You can go much further back than Kevin ***an too. As good as Seymour and Stroud are, they alone do not trump that Miami group.

And if you're going to evaluate running backs, and include players going back to the days of Joe Cribbs and James Brooks, then you might as well include Ottis Anderson for the Hurricanes. Just stick with players currently in the NFL, weigh Ronnie Brown (2-years, 2000-yards, and 9 TDs), Cadillac Williams (2-years, 2000-yards, and 7 TDs), Stephen Davis (11-years, 8,000 yds, and 65 TDs) and Rudi Johnson (6-years, 5200 yds, and 45 TDs) against Edgerrin James (8-years, 10,300-yards, and 70 TDs), Clinton Portis (5-years, 6500-yards, and 52 TDs) Willis McGahee (4-years, 3400-yards and 24 TDs) and Frank Gore (2-years, 2300-yards, and 11 TDs.) Now tell me again who the most productive unit has been? It's not even close, in two fewer total years, the Canes have produced approximately 60 more touchdowns and 6,000 more yards.

the U usually churns out a few 1st round DBS a year as well, not this year however........

We did get Carey. He was certainly worth his price.

Miami Produced some great talent but their losing their touch recently.

Notre Dame will take over TE U, or atleast catch up to Miami, in the near future. Weis uses the TE more than any college offense I watched the last two years and he has pulled in top TE recruits every year. Carlson, who should have won the MAckey Award last year, is poised to have a great year with plenty of young talent waiting in the wings.
