Where would each team rank during this decade? 2009 is still going, but it's simple to place them now.

1.2000-Won the division and beat the Manning led Colts in the playoffs.
2.2001-Overall I think this team was better than the '08 team, they did not have the easy schedule and still won 11 games and made the playoffs. Lost division title based on tiebreaker.
3.2008-Had an easy schedule, but were still impressive and won the division of course. Thought about putting them ahead of '01.
4.2003-One of the unlucky teams who won double digit games and still missed the playoffs based on tiebreakers. And, who could forget, lost to the Texans by 1 point. I hate the Texans.
5.2002-Started out great, then Fiedler got hurt and things went down from there. Say what you want about Fiedler, but he was playing solid with Ricky to help him before he got hurt. Missed the division title and playoffs based on tiebreakers.
6.2009-This was tough, but unless they collapse they wont go below this, and can move up if they make the playoffs. If they win 9 games and miss the playoffs you could argue them ahead of 2002.
7.2005-Finished great staying in the playoff hunt for a while, but didnt get the help they would have needed after digging themselves into a big hole early in the year.
8.2006-Went in with high expectations & even were a trendy Super Bowl pick by some including SI. Did ok at times[compared to 04/07], but no one will forget Culpepper over Brees
9.2004-One of the worst of all time. Maybe would finish ahead of 2 or 3 of the 1960s teams. Maybe.
10.2007-Worst.Phins.Team.Ever. Way worse then the 1966 expansion team. But, we made it through that dark year pretty fast thankfully.

Would you move any up or down?

As a Fin Fan...I'l be glad when this decade is thru...
God..When Wanny lead teams are your best...well..I don't
even have words to describe what I'm feeling looking at
our team this decade.
I need a Prozax...

Haha. Well considering this has been our worst decade, we've only had 3 losing seasons in it(04, 06, 07). AT LEAST we've been competitive and playoff contenders even in the years we didnt make them(2002,2003,2005, and who knows with 2009, but we're good). There are many other franchises who have had far worse decades then us. And the future looks bright, but I'm with you, the next decade should be better. Let's get there first!

Seeing your age,I feel for you in the fact that you didn't get to
enjoy the Dolphins of the 70' or the 80's.
I just thought the 90's were bad because we had good teams and
would get humilated in the playoffs.
This decade has been rancid.

Yeah these teams this decade have been nothing compared to the 70s/80s teams. Although could have been worse. Could have been the Lions/Chiefs. Or Bills /Jets!

I really wish our team would of made the playoffs in 2002. I think we could of done some damage in the playoffs and we matched up well with some teams (Raiders).

Too bad that team blew waaaay too many games. Thanks Wannstedt!!!

It's close but in 2000 they actually won the 1st round playoff game. 2008 and 2001 for second is tough. The defense was great in '01.

2008 was the most exciting because of the historic turn around and the Wild Cat. This team is a resilient bunch and will continue to fight the rest of the season...they are not going to pack it in...they have a lot of pride in them.

exactly. no one expected miami to make the playoffs, let alone win the division. i don't care who was hurt and who wasn't.

Well the only team to win the Division and a playoff game was the 2000 team, so I'm going to have to say they were the best. The 2002 ad 2003 teams should have been better, but guess we can't go by shoulda coulda wouldas

2002 what a bitter sweet year. One of my favorite dolphin teams. Who can forget rickys long run to ice the game against the jets. Up until that game we kept losing to the jets. Rickys first game. Against the jets total domination. Unfortunately we blew 4th quarter leads to the pats and bills late in the season if I remember correctly. That team could of went deep into the playoffs despite a tough afc conf. I would put them 2nd.

Actually the 1-15 team of 07 was better than their record. They were still 1-15, but they were competing in a lot of those games.

This team at 3-5 is more of a threat to win a SB than any Miami team in the past decade. The day Wanny took over, this squad became a pretender, smoke and mirrors type team (think of KC in the early 90s).
Blah, Blah, Blah Fiedler's winning pct....

For the first time in over a decade, I truley believe that the Miami Dolphins are amassing real talent that will show with a SB appearance in the next three years. Mainly because of what I see in Henne. He will get his weapons, the D will get younger and more talented (at LB and D-line).

I am truley excited at the next decade for this organization. I'd like to forget about the past one.

i agree 100% if our back up wasnt ray lucas we could have had a bye-week round 1 and could have beat oakland
