Said there will probably be changes & mentioned Sherman & Ireland might be out. Look I am ok with keeping Philbin look what happened to the Panthers last year kept Rivera whose team had a lot of talent like us & change in the OC helped and another year in the system proved to be the right call after they struggled last year.

the problem I have with philbin is he doesnt seem to have the personality to be a head coach...the only coach that I have ever seen that could be as quiet as joe is and still be a real leader was dungy...maybe im wrong, but unless its dungy out there I want fiery, I want the personality of sporano with someone that actually plays modern football...

Joe who is afraid to make or order any adjustments? Yay! Change is coming...

The team deliberately tanked to get rid of those bums. We saw glimpses of what this team could play like despite the coaching and woeful drafting. The team and the fans...and hopefully Ross can see clearly what has been wrong....Ireland and Shermin.
Regarding Philbin, I would prefer a clean sweep. He shows no emotion, nor does he show extraordinary intelligence as a game manager or tactician. He is a stoic figurehead. Not a leader IMHO. He would be better off in an executive position.

Between Sherman, Ireland and Philbin, Joe is really the only one I would accept bringing back.

Why? It makes no sense. He hired Sherman. Why should he get a pass? In terms of the GM, forced marriages do not work. Finally, what does Joe do that is so special that he HAS to come back?

I wanted continuity, but this piecemeal firings...these half solutions make it worse IMO.

Is Philbin really head coach material or in way over his head?

If a better more experienced head coach is available then make the change.

Exactly, the same was often said about Tony Dungy. If one man can be like that, so can another.

They will probably fire Ireland and move the next guy up. Brian Gaines?

This is true but Dungy lucked up and had Manning all those years. So i guess dungy would the comparison i would make between the two
