Famous rapper Rick Ross appeared on iHeart Media's Power 105.1 FM in New York and explained that he has always been interested in owning part of the Miami Dolphins and finally was able to meet with them.

"I went and sat down with the Miami Dolphins, we discussed a few things," the rapper said. "They finally invited me into the office and I sat with some people. It was a real positive conversation."

"They ultimately decide if the time is now," Rick Ross said. "I would bring nothing but positive energy."

Rick Ross has always been familiar with the Miami area. He graduated from Carol City High School. The Miami Dolphins have not yet responded when asked for a comment.

The entire interview with Rick Ross from 105.1 FM in New York can be heard here. Ross begins speaking about the Miami Dolphins at 13:00.

Miami Dolphins team spokesman denies Rick Ross' comments about him being invited to meeting regarding purchasing part of team.

Give Trick Daddy a stake before Rick Ross. That dude is always repping. Plus, in his pièce de résistance 'Take it the House' he says "That new **** I'm flossin/I got that cuz I'm bettin with the Dolphins"

He should add a portrait of Stephen Ross' goofy mug above his droopy left nipple to butter up Steve up and increase his odds of getting a piece of the Dolphins...

Has Ross really made this much money? Damn that's Boss. He is from Miami but he likes the Patriots, so I'm torn with this move.

Sorry, Rick Ross fans. Dolphins spokesman denies Ross' claims from his NYC radio appearance. Doesn't look like he'll be a celebrity owner.

He doesn't need to have that much money. Stephen Ross hands out pieces of the franchise to celebs like they Joe Philbin's candy wrappers...

I would much rather have Rick Ross as a celebrity owner of the Dolphins than Marc Anthony and Jimmy Buffett.

Maybe there's a generational gap there though
