Rasul Douglas declines offer

Too bad so called fans don't do the same 😂
You cannot question my fandom dude. Been squeezed, tortured, beaten, spit on, flogged by this organization since 1979
And I’m still here. And still being squeezed, tortured, beaten, spit on and flogged

This is a sad story but.....

Good! He sucks anyway.

He was very good with Green Bay. Was always slow but played very good there. He got injured and then moved on and whatever athlete he was before, just hasn't returned.

These days he's just a name, and I'm glad we're not getting him tbh.

There's other guys who are available now, with better athleticism and experience.

I'd much rather Samuel's Jr....I know...coming off injury lol...a grier specialty....but he had stinger and shoulder injury, some places say neck, which if that's the case give 1 yr contract with incentives to protect yourself, but if he comes back and plays welland stays healthy..

Anyways...

There's valid reasons Rasul Douglas declined us, we're known as soft, we are getting rid of veterans, the Tua debate, McD and Grier, and the bozo owner....so go get your bag and some possible stability elsewhere. Smart on his behalf, and understandable....

But Weaver ain't no punk, and the D lost veterans that year too, and all hes done is drastically improve our scoring defense from Fangio era.

Weaver's a gem until he's not, at the moment he's a gem!!

Offering a deal to Douglas kind of flies in the face of a lot of people's theories that we may be moving to more man coverage. There are better options out there if that is the case. Unless it was a minimum deal to be a role player, which I doubt he'd accept, given that this will likely be the final multi year contract of his career.

Sometimes, when your options are "limited", you go with what you can get. - LOL

I almost want to roll with what we have and find out exactly what we have. It could be ugly, but I'm of the same opinion as Chad that we've sunk enough resources there for the time being.

If all of these secondary players cannot play, then we need to replace them ASAP. That would be next offseason. Ideally, a player or two steps up.
Don't we have to cut 30 people eventually anyway?

When is the last time a Bills castoff did anything in Miami? And Ryan Fitzy doesn't count because he played for EVERYBODY..... maybe I'm just still disgusted by the Poyer experience from last year.
But our guys love to go to Buffalo only to flourish, and punish us in revenge games.

Charles Clay anyone??

I feel the same way. It's possible Miami gets a corner for Ramsey that might be in the mix.

But let's see if anyone steps up. Like you said, it could be ugly, but maybe a few young players actually rise to the occasion.

He’s totally washed like Poyer was. I’d rather see the young guys play.
I am beginning to buy into this 100%. Flores did it...would McD be able to caox as good a season out of nobodys like Flores did? That is as good of an example I can come up with and Flores was the Dolphins HC.

I will be watching the results, but it is Weaver I am wondering about. Can he bring a sub-par secondary into some good results and stats? You can bet he will try. A Head Coaching job will be the fruits of his labor after this season. I will trust the D to Weaver this year. The offense concerns me the most even if we do not add any other players in '25.

It's hard to know what Miami has in the secondary. Smith is really the only high draft pick among the slew of corners. And he's unproven.

I feel more confident about the offense. McDaniel has to deliver with this group.
