A lot of times, that's the guy that they sign. They are generally VERY secretive.I've seen no indication the Dolphins are even considering Shaq.

It’s not that signing your own counts against the compensatory formula it’s that Calais signing elsewhere for the money he did cancelled out one of our compensatory eligible FA signings.I have never heard of retaining your own pending FA as counting against eh comp pick formula. Plus, Holland gets hurt or playing time goes down, the comp pick goes way down too.
Kiko had his momentsWhen is the last time a Bills castoff did anything in Miami? And Ryan Fitzy doesn't count because he played for EVERYBODY..... maybe I'm just still disgusted by the Poyer experience from last year.
knocking out Flacco?...heheKiko had his moments
Pick 6 off Philip Rivers was pretty cool.knocking out Flacco?...hehe
Okay, @Ray R, why in your expert, astute opinion do you find this post funny?C.J. Henderson is still available, too. Formerly the 9th overall pick by the Jags in 2020. He didn't play last season, only on the Steelers' PS. He's been a bust, especially considering draft status, but he is only 26 and could be a reclamation project. Miami native, attended Christopher Columbus HS. Maybe a hometown discount?
His resume' sucks. He's been a bust so far. Especially for the 9th overall pick. No one was saying the Jags reached when they took him. But at that point, most thought he had the tools and skills to be a very good CB1 in the NFL. Since he is still just 26, why not sign him to a veteran minimum contract and see if he can be a reclamation.I think your first sentence represented a humorous look at a player's resume to be justified as qualifying for the Dolphins.
It is really funny; pitiful, but funny. - LOL

What was your point? If you aren't crazy about the notion of signing Henderson as another corner, feel free to offer some different suggestions.Thank you for "helping" me make my point. - LOL
No updates I know of on Seyi Oladipo. I really wanted Miami to sign him, not just try him out. He is still available as far as I know.CJ would be a no risk reclamation project. Bring him to min. $ and let him compete. Yes, our D-backfield is now young and lacks experience, but I think some of youngsters will step up. If we can put pressure on the QB, I think we will be ok.
@MrClean, is there any update on the Safety from Boise State that we had interest in?

We signed Daniels, Wilson and NWI that count against the formula. We lost Holland, Campbell, Jones and Ogbah. As our losses outweigh our gains by one we’ll get the 4th rounder for Holland.
Had we resigned Campbell we’d have lost three and gained three thus losing the 4th round compensatory pick.
You’re right about the injury but every year Holland has had in the league would be enough to qualify the 4th round pick. The odds are that resigning Campbell would have cost us a 4th rounder. I still believe letting him go was the right thing at that price.
Man if this ain’t the truth.Who the hell cares about comp picks? We trade em all in bad trade ups anyways.
