I don't know a lot of comparing offensive lines, but comparing it to the Minnesota's in the 2004 is our actual offensive line better or worse.

And comparing it to other teams (all other 31 teams for the 2006) give a rating please...

:dolphins:

I rate them 6th in the NFL. Sound like a homer, don't I? Well let's think about these two facts from 2005:

1. Miami ranked 8th in the NFL in rushing yards per carry.
2. Miami ranked 4th in the NFL in fewest sacks allowed.

This says to me, pass protection and run blocking was good. And they especially got better as the season went on. I took the rankings and averaged them together, and we get 6th. Not exactly scientific, but what the hell!

I'd say at this point 15 or 16 in the league. I hope by mid season it's top 10.

Just compare it to Seattles or what Seattles used to be with Hutchinson and we are way way below that. #6? way off. We need future guys, not 1 or 2 year guys who will be somewhere else soon.

I rate them a B+. With the addition of a legitimate LT in Sheton, the left side should be solid. I still have concerns about McKinney.

I like your method, so 6th in the NFL should be great for Culpepper...

it should be solid hopefully but a b+? your crazy. We are at best a C+ line. look at the runs they made, nevr did they run through a gapping hole always a tight squeeeze with R.B. capable of breaknig half the tackles for an extra 5 yards .

I said 7. This could greatly improve with Hudson Houck getting some players in the draft. I look at it this way, the lone will be better then 2005 for the simple fact another year of Houck working with the line, then getting better talent in here as well.

Also try to rate player by player into the offensive line please...

Offensive Line:

Orrin Thompson, Joe Berger, Rex Hadnot, Seth McKinney, C.J. Brooks, L.J. Shelton, Vernon Carey, Wade Smith, Jeno James & Anthony Alaby

Offensive Line Coordinator:

Hudson Houck

is this a scale of 1 to 10? thats what I thought so 6 is what I vote but not 6th best. Sry
confused easily

when you say 6th, it means 6th in NFL ranking & when you say 6 it's a scale from 1 to 10

its not THAT great. we have a lot of improving to do. i say C+, but by the end of the year, a B+.
