For Ravens fans looking to migrate south for the playoffs, getting tickets to the game wasn't a problem yesterday. But getting to Miami - that's another matter.

Thanks to lukewarm Miami fans who don't always fill Dolphin Stadium, some of the Ravens faithful were able to buy tickets at face value on the Ticketmaster Web site yesterday morning. But with the Orange Bowl game in Miami this week, the college football championship game next week and seasonal travelers heading to Florida to thaw out, decent airfare is hard to come by.

Yup, expect $500 a plane ticket Ravens fans.

Well what sux is I'm a DOLFAN in NY who was coming this weekend till I saw the price of airfare.. Well If things work out and we are hosting the AFC title game no airfare price will stop me then!!!

It's true though. I would've loved to go to this game since it's the first playoff game in 6 years but I don't have the money for it. Usually flights down are no more then 150 RT from D.C. but this weekend, as the article says, it's 3 times as much.

Welcome to being a Dolphin fan. Even if you live local to the team all our divisonal away games are a plane ride away.

Yep, this Dolphins fan was grounded by the high air fare too.

But, WHEN we win - I've got a seat in Pittsburgh for the divisional round.

yup same exact situation here. i was going to go down to miami this week but once i looked for flights, i said there is no way i can afford that. im not as pissed though bc even though the atmosphere is ausum at the stadium, i like the view on tv alot better.

thats our problem as well. the drive just takes to long with time out of work and what not.

On short notice, not only is the airfare expensive, you also get lousy routes and long layovers BUT I AM STILL ON MY WAY!!!! For me and my son, it'll be our second Fins-Ravens game this year, and here's to a Phins win this time. Fasano was wide open in the end zone early in the game where we settled for a field goal. That won't happen again this game.

I'm in the same boat man.. I was pretty upset with the high airfare.. esp when I had a playoff ticket only one click away :(

I too will make a trip if they get there man.

The Raven fans can just as easily watch their team lose on tv....why fly all the way down to Miami to see it in person? :kick:

i still may make it down to this game.....fortunately for me though, i never pay more than 100 bucks R/T for any airfare, anywhere... ;)............im just disappointed that the hard rock is sold out sunday night....thats usually my hotel of choice down there

ya dude, if i were to go thats where i would stay, i can never get enough of the gambling. good choice.i also agree as much as i would like to be there for the atmosphere, im not gonna spend tons of money to fly somewhere when i can watch that same exact game at my house on an hdtv for free.

$100 bucks for airfare anywhere sure makes it easy to see your favorite team on the road.

That being said, a real fan wouldn't let a $500 ticket keep him or her from seeing their favorite team if they really wanted to go.
