Ravens LB Arthur Brown on the block

If the Ravens offered Brown and a first round pick for Jordan would you take it? Jordan would be a nice fit as a 3-4 outside linebacker for the Ravens. I like Jordan and still have high hopes for him, but he's a better fit for the Ravens. What Miami wants Jordan to be, a pass rushing defensive end, can easily be added to the roster later.

that's a good question...short answer is yes...with mccain showing some edge rush abilities and fede still in the wings waiting his turn and showing upside otherwise they wouldnt have kept him yeah i'd do it...

he's miscast here...always will be in a 43

i'd like to see mccain show me some consistency over a larger # of reps in a game though before i pencil that in as a edge pass rusher...i saw that one rep and it was a good against solder he washed his hands out on contact and bounced off nicely but i still have some reservations about that aspect over the long term

i did see him try a spin move later on but he was too far away from the tackle when he began it and as such the tackle just waited for him to come right to him after he finished the spin in perfect position...somebodys coaching that dline up though i know that much

I could see Jordan being the Ravens new young version of Terrell Suggs or Adalius Thomas.

well they got courtney upshaw playing solb for them right now i think...but he's got no burst to him is all power player and no real pass rush upside or talent...despite certain bama posters attempts to tell me different as a prospect

i'd approach indy about dion jordan also...cause god knows bjoern werner is gonna do nothing for them as a pass rusher and mathis is out for the year...werner is miscast as a 34 olb but he's doing nothing against nfl tackles except wasting snaps pass rush wise

and that team loves to give away picks....just loves to...

To play OLB in Baltimore's and Indy's scheme (yes, it's practically the same scheme as Pagano was Baltimore's DC) the #1 job is to set the edge. By far Dion Jordan's worst quality as a football player. 0.00000000000001% chance either team would be interested in him. I'd offer a conditional 4th pick for Arthur Brown. He could be the long term answer at WILL.

they better do something cause that d is gonna get worn out...on o they just need to go to full on no huddle and the offense will hum...although the pass pro is quite sketchy this year...andrew lucks handling of the pocket is rediculous...other parts of his game havent been all wordly though...even if the media is annointing him as such...there's some cracks there

yeah that's true...i guess that's why indy plucked bjoern werner who was a very good run defender in college...even if he cant get to the qb in a 34 as an olb...

I don't think he can get to the QB period. He has zero explosion. His #s out of the draft were 9'3" broad jump, and 31 inch vert. Ouch.

As a comparison, Wake's #s were 10'10" and 45.5 inch vert........... That's the highest end of the spectrum as I have yet to seen someone top Wake's numbers..

oh i know...he got off the ball well in college but for what i saw i didnt see a difference making pass rusher in the pros...but he's definitely miscast as a 34 olb...that was a 43 de 2 down type guy...he was a pass rusher and i said as much who as the snap progressed you lost interest in what he had...got off the ball well but after that it just became run of the mill

Have Dion Jordan in the 250-255 range. And let him play SAM in a 4-3 (where I evaluated him as a prospect) let him carry tight ends up the seam. He can even play as a nickel backer (played in the slot at Oregon). He also brings added versatility as a rusher in subpackages. He can be a quality starter as a SAM backer in a 4-3, but trying to make him a 4-3 DE or 3-4 OLB is trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.
