Ravens LB Arthur Brown on the block

well at least have him sleep with the ball on a stick for the next month...i dont care if he's in his living room have his mom simulate the snap over and over so he can work on how quickly he comes off the ball...do something

Mike Waufle the DL coach for the Giants during the 07 SB and with the Rams now has a pretty good DVD on coaching the get off. One of the coaching points he makes is to stare at the very tip of the ball. The less stimuli you are focused on the quicker you can react.. I haven't really looked closely at DJ's stance to see if there is an issue there. I think it's just average explosiveness + poor reaction to stimuli.

and Kacy Rodgers is one of the top DL coaches in the league. He maximizes every DL's talent. I don't think even he can make DJ at 4-3 End. Just doesn't fit his skill set + body type.

New flash hoops...Jason Taylor has extended himself numerous times to Jordan and Jordan has yet to take up the offer. I'm not sure what to expect when Jordan comes back and I hope he's been working out and working on football. I know it was reported that he hired a trainer for these 4 weeks but that doesn't mean much if there's no desire. Could it be possible he plays even less than last year if McCain and Fede progress quickly? I could see it happening...could see him being inactive for games too if he's not in shape when he comes back. Maybe he shocks some of us and takes his spot behind OV and balls out. We just need him to contribute more than he did last year because right now...I'm not missing him and I don't think the team is either.

For the "97th time" Jordan would cost us a cap hit of $10M if traded this year, which would kill us next year. It would be a worse move than any from Ireland or any other GM in our history.

FWIW, last year Brown played 211 snaps, and was average across the board, run, cover, and pass rush.

After the way this fan base treated one Wildcat, I hope he doesn't end up here.

I don't think he can play the mike at this level. He's a weak side backer. Ravens used him mostly as a nickel linebacker and he did a nice job for them in coverage. He's got good instincts and flows well towards the ball, decent at shedding blocks but he's too small for the middle IMO.

He's 6 ft 235, CJ Mosley is 6-1 235, and Bobby Wagner is 6-2 240. I don't see how he is too small if you have good DTs to keep people off on him. Author Brown was one of my favorite players coming out of the draft. I really wanted Ireland to find a way to snag him, but I don't think he is a great fit for a 3-4. His college tape was amazing. I would love to find a way to bring him in. Trade them Darkwa and a 4th or maybe send Jordan and get a 3rd or 2nd from them. We need a LB and he could be a good one with our new LB coach. We need some bodies out there and he has good potential to become a solid starter. The kid can fly too, would add some speed to our core.

Sources indicate Ravens linebacker Arthur Brown extremely unlikely to be traded, but he's a popular target for teams because of his talent

it may come down to his work ethic isnt up to par for them...cause he definitely had good talent and physical abilities

A K-State product with no work ethic? Especially a defensive player? LOL. That's funny on so many levels.

Now this sounds likely. The original rumor that he was available sounded like the standard unsubstantiated nonsense some hack beat writer pukes up on twitter.

I can confirm the #Dolphins are one of a few teams that have inquired about #Ravens LB Arthur Brown
