The Ravens will hold a private workout for Louisville QB Brian Brohm next month.

Though Brohm has slid in draft projections and now projects as a second rounder, he remains confident in his NFL future: "I feel like I’m the top guy. I feel like I’ve got the complete package: athleticism, arm strength, knowledge of the game, accuracy. Obviously, I’m not the top guy in all of those categories, but overall I feel like I’m the top guy out of all of them."

That's interesting. They pick eighth I believe. I dont see them taking him that early.

Yeah i think your right on that... if he falls late in the first rd i can see them trading up for him just like the Browns did last yr with Quinn

Yeah I could see them doing that. My only question is if Ryan falls to them, do they take him?

I have yet to see them workout Ryan and I haven't heard anything on them being present at his Pro Day.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them pass up on Ryan and hope to get Brohm. If they fail to get Brohm later then I would look for them maybe to try and take Josh Johnson, I think thats his name.

It seemed like they had some success with a QB whos mobile so Johnson could fit in.

Impressive number: 40 Time: 4.53 40 Low: 4.47 40 High: 4.64

03/21/08 - Bucs quarterbacks coach Greg Olson had a private meeting in San Diego with quarterback Josh Johnson. The 6-foot-3, 213-pound Johnson is becoming a darling of the NFL Draft. At the University of San Diego, he dominated Division I-AA competition with 43 touchdowns and one interception one that bounced off the chest of his tight end and into the hands of a defender. He also was the MVP of the East-West Shrine game. Johnson was the fastest quarterback at the NFL Scouting Combine by running a 4.4 in the 40-yard dash. But he suffered some back spasms afterward and struggled in throwing drills. He redeemed himself at his Pro Day, which was attended by about 20 teams, including Carolina coach John Fox and Chargers coach Norv Turner. Nobody has been a bigger advocate for Johnson than Doug Williams, the Bucs' pro personnel assistant.

If the phins pass on Ryan do you think Falcons will also? If the Falcons pass on him we might have Brady Q part 2 on draft day......

I really wouldn't be surprised if they pass on him. I read an article, I dont remember where it was (sorry), but it talked about the Falcons and Ryan. It stated that the Falcons might not be as hot on Ryan as everyone thinks.

I really could see them taking Jake Long. Hes a hell of a talent even though I dont want him here because I dont believe in taking O line men this early and giving them big money. They need to solidify their O line badly, they cut their best o linemen this past year in Wayne Gandy. Wayne Gandy was a LT and I suppose Long could fit in there. They just signed Michael Burner Turner and Mularkey is expected to rely heavily on a running game. They have holes in the line so yeah Long could be a choice there.

Another posibility could be Sedrick Ellis, DT out of USC. They did cut Rod Coleman this offseason and they dont have Grady anymore. If Sedrick impresses scouts, he could a higher draft pick. I dont know if he will be taken at three because they could trade down and acquire more picks but this is the draft and anything is possible. Their DT's on the roster right now are the following:

Stanley, Montavious

Moore, Rashad DTLewis, Trey
Babineaux, Jonathan
Anderson, Tim

As it shows, they could really use one. The game starts in the trenches and right now they could holes in both of those spots. They could get a QB later.

Yeah I could see Ryan sliding but he could also be picked right after Oakland with Kansas City. I dont see them taking Ryan though because they keep stating Croyle will be their future or they want him to be but theyr not giving him a chance to start.

After Kansas City, theres the Ravens and then the Bears in the middle of the round. Ravens could select him but we talked about that.

The Bears could select him because they only got Grossman on a one year deal and god knows what confidence they have in him and Orton. That could be a real possibility for him if he slips.

The Ryan situation is pretty crazy, I think he is in Aaron Rodgers situation where he could go from number one pick all the way until the bottom of the first.

I agree

Like I mentioned earlier, dont be surprised if they pass up on Ryan and draft a QB in the second round like Josh Johnson. Heres some info that I just found.

Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome "really likes" Troy CB Leodis McKelvin, according to the Baltimore Sun. The Sun believes Baltimore will strongly consider corners at No. 8 overall, then "probably" draft a quarterback with its second-round choice.
