Pretty impressive. Cleveland seems to love him.

Two more I posted in another thread:

There's also a video interview with him in the stickied thread I started.
The bottom line is that Farmer is a top candidate and is loved by Carl Peterson, who's Ross' point man on these interviews. It was Peterson that brought Farmer from Philadelphia to Kansas City for his first big scouting job.
The big downside to Farmer is that he's a pro personnel guy when we already have a few top pro personnel names in the building in Brian Gaine, Anthony Hunt and Chris Shea. I think it would be better for us to look at someone with more scouting experience on the college side, which is why I favor Alonzo Highsmith, Jason Licht, Lionel Vital and Marc Ross for the job, in that order (for now ). If Tom Gamble indicates he's interested in the job even given his family issues then he becomes the obvious #1 choice, imo.
Sorry if you already posted this.
No worries. I didn't exactly get the feeling too many people read it when I posted it originally.
Don't want him . don't want anyone from Cleveland especially. He is not the right person for the job.

Gamble is my first choice.
He has more legit experience with proof of the ability to know and draft talent.
Farmer has some things to him though that might benefit this organization.
1. He puts a completely different face on the position because he is more ground level communication to me. He probably is a much easier guy to talk to. His quotes on players seem to fit what I talk about on here all the time. Fineheaveners would certainly not bag on this guy because a 3rd round pick doesnt make it in his first year. People would actually give him a chance.
2. He would be favorable to players coming in via FA as a former player himself. He would have to be the good cop to Dawns bad cop in negotiations. As a former player, it makes it more doable.
What bothers me though is there is no real evidence of him having the actual experience of drafting players. He is more in a supportive roles previously. Not sure people want to bank on the future with a guy who is green. He might have great ideas and work ethic and understand how much work goes in, but no real experience on draft day.
I like Gamble too, but I still am not sure if he wants the gig. That is the next part to all of this. It is one thing to interview. It is another to be offered the job. It is another to accept. Should be interesting.
