Ray Farmer the next Ozzie Newsome?

Although my initial choice was Cable, both Farmer and Xander (esp. Ray) have been very impressive candidates for the job. If either of those two are obtained, I think we can say that Ross did an excellent job in his decisions for GM this offseason.

Personally I find the emphasis on race in that article quite distasteful. Hire the best guy, I dont really care if he is black white or purple, the subject has no need to be mentioned or considered.

I read article by Cote promoting Farmer because he is black. Talking about how Dolphins have turned away black coaches etc. Personally I dont believe alot of ir.And yethe also pointed our that Xanders might be the more qualified. But hiring Farmer would make a statement! So how does that make Cote qualified to write!Such garbage!

If Farmer is the guy then why is it taking so long to allow him to get to work. Hire him already.

I agree with you there Hayden. (translation - he is probably not the guy like Vital really wasn't the guy in Tampa even though that's all we kept hearing)

yeah and some people thought we had our Franchise QB with Chad Henne, just saying, so wtf has Farmer done to think he can be anywhere near as good as OZZIE NEWSOME, i mean really, smdh

If the Dolphins really think Farmer is the next Ozzie Newsome, they should've hired him already.
We need the best talent evaluator....regardless of what race he is......we do not need to hire based upon some notion of affirmative action.
Whomever, has demonstrated through his record and history the greatest ability to recognize talent is who this team needs in the GM position.
