We finally play a true 34 defense! He has a home in Miami! He's in a contract year! Is there a possibility he could be a dolphin next year?

everyone is gonna hate this... and say stop posting stuff about players that we MIGHT GET.. but i think if we win over 6 games this year he might think about it.. he prob wants to win.. and i doubt bill would really want to bring him in.. but i think he has 2-3 years left

As much as I would love Lewis to come back to Miami, he has nonchalantly mentioned that he wants to retire a Raven. He is a great guy and an outstanding HOF LB.

Want to see a true leaders attitude? Check out these quotes from Ray Lewis in the Baltimore Sun interviewed by Jamison Hensley regarding his contract year:

"The bottom line is whatever we’re trying to do as a team, that’s the focus on where we’re trying to stay as a team and if we keep that team concept there then the team concept stays there. So, if you go out talking about an individual -- what I want to do, what I want to do -- it means nothing. There’s so much we have to do as a team to get better from last year and teach all of these young guys what not to do and what to do. Then, everything else -- everything else -- takes care of itself. Everybody knows this is a business. Everything can take care of itself. I’m just excited to be back playing football all over again.

Ray Lewis doesn't like the 3-4 defense so I would say there is zero chance of him becoming a Miami Dolphins player next year or any year.

Didn't Ray complain about being in a 34 defense before because he liked the 4-3 better and that's why they tried to get two big d tackles in front of him so that he could run free and make plays from the mike backer spot? just asking

:sidelol:

Ray Lewis? Thats a good one..

He's retiring a Raven, AND he hasnt played a full season since 2003

too old. if not for his age, and the fact he wasn't thrilled about the 3-4, then hell yes. one of the most exciting defensive players to watch over the last decade for sure.

we are rebuilding. older, high profile players are not what we need. not yet.

Oh wow, I guess there's only so many possibilities for players that we could sign this year. As if the 'let's sign so and so next month' threads weren't bad enough, we've moved onto to 'let's sign so and so next year' threads.

yo, Ray Ray is NASTY, we would be lucky to have him.

Lewis' game has been on a steady decline for the last 5 years or so. He doesn't really have the same knack for making plays, I would not even put him in the top 20 LBs in the league right now.

Agreed. thats just what we'd need....a LB at the end of his career who used to be awesome and now is living on a old rep. Oh lets not forget he'd get a huge bloated salary commensurate with his 90's rep....who said Porter?!!!

NO NO NO!!! Zach > Ray Ray, ray always complains, on the decline, dont need a vet LB after we just got rid of zach. Zach played in every system, Ray complains. Ray is all bark now a days, I always felt he was overrated
