Pro Football Weekly is hearing whispers that the Ravens will not trade Ray Lewis for anything less than a first-round pick. Should miami jump for this impact player?

He will probably wind up in New England. They have 2 1st rounders AGAIN!

Didn't understand the title of this thread at all. haha

A first round pick? :sidelol:

Honestly, I don't think there is room for him on the Dolphins roster. Our LB core is pretty well set with Crowder/Thomas/Porter. He will be traded to a team who needs a LB. However, I don't believe he wants out to begin with.

If Ray Lewi was about 5 years younger then I would consider it. I would not give up a 1st rounder for a 32 year old LB, no matter who or how good he is.

I don't think Miami would do it. Lewis isn't playing at the same dominant level he did in past years. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a great player, but he has a lot of years on that body and Miami needs to start injecting youth into its roster (which Randy & Cam are already doing). Plus, we need to save our high draft picks.

He isn't a 3-4 LB, its one of the reasons they changed back to a 4-3 after being a 3-4 team for a year. Just didn't feel he was as effective in the 3-4.

I can see him in Tampa. It's not even an hour away from his his hometown Lakeland. Plus he would be a great fit in that defense that values athleticism at the LB position. He and Gruden seem to be a great fit.

Enough logic presented. Ray L. is past his prime and it is not a need. I can buy into the fact that somehow he might end up with the Pats though. BB and the rest of the evil empire wants another ring now no matter future consequences. Them getting Randy Moss sealed that theory for me.
