So I know the subject of Ray Lewis has been brought up already on the site.
Should we sign him, would we sign him, how much would it cost, would it be worth it. To me, personally I think Ray should sign a reasonable contract with Baltimore and try to finish out his career with the Ravens.
Would I like Ray Lewis on this team? Sure!! Why wouldnt you want a Ray Lewis anchoring your defense?
But this latest News of Jerry Jones running his mouth again about how Dallas is going to make a push to get Lewis if he becomes a FA. 3yrs, like 30 million with 25 million guaranteed? Are you kidding me.. First Dallas has got to be close to running out of money Cap wise, I don't know their numbers but they have some f'n expensive players on their team, between Romo, Owens, Roy Williams, Barber, Leonard Davis, Flozell Adams, T Newman.. and DeMarcus Ware is probably going to get the largest contract in league history soon..

Second, why would Ray want to goto a Media Circus that is the Dallas Cowboys. Think about it, he goes there, and the media, like it or not, will bring up so many more stories about "how jerry loves to sign those criminals". I don't like it, but it will happen if Lewis went there.

I am a die hard Canes fan and would love to see Ray come home to the phins "if" he leaves Baltimore, which i dont' think will happen. But man.. Lewis in Dallas would be almost as sickening as seeing Zach there this year!! Maybe Zach can talk some sense into him..

you really think the Ravens aren't gonna work it out to sign Lewis back???
 
I think Baltimore will do what they can to resign him honestly. I hope he finishes his career there. As long as he dont' goto dallas... Zach was smart .. he wanted out after one year!!
 
Zach is a great guy and character... he loves the game... Ray is the same basically... he wont Dallas it!!!
 
IMO, Ray Lewis is staying in Baltimore, or following Rex Ryan to the NYJ. You should hope he stays in Baltimore.
 
Rather keep what we got then overpay for an aging ray Lewis .
 
in the NY newspapers today it says he might go to the Jets along with Rex Ryan, i hope he stays in Baltimore or goes to the Cowboys...hes old, its not worth signing him to a huge contract for 2-3 years. I know hes good and all but down the stretch it aint worth it.
 
yea, hes already been in the league like 13 years or somethin like that, hes gotta be mid 30's...its not worth spending the big money when u just got 29 new young players last season. If your building young why bring in the old? I think we should just look for another good name LB thats asking for alot less money.
 
Ray is up for his last big contract....and its gonna be a big one, more than the Big Tuna is willing to match. Cowboys most likely or up in NY w/ Rex Ryan. I give Ray Lewis credit, he trains intense pushing himself to extreme levels.....which has paid off and will pay $$$ again for him. Zach was a fifth rounder....could happen again for us!!!!

but Yes. I wouldn't mind having him for 2 or 3 years for his leadership. He'll bring a swagger to this defense
