Ray Mickens was let go by the NYJ, should we get him? I know, a NYJ, but he was going to start there. What do you think?

I always thought Ray Mickens was a bad cornerback. All of the Jet fans would tell me he was pretty good. Now they will actually agree with me.

He's not a Saban type Cornerback, he's 5'8" 180lbs. Living in New Jersey, I've followed him quite a bit, nothing spectacular. I say NO! to Ray Mickens.

We dont need another Dime CB.

Yeah so when we play the Fiedler led Jets, Fiedler can run over Mickens and injure him again.

No thanks. Mickens is garbage, he was garbage as a Jet and that doesn't change just becasue that cut his sorry ***.

your not serious are you?

I was going to ask that of the Mickens comment, but is that what you're asking? Don't wanna be redundant. Anyways, I think this Ty Law thing is a bad thing for us. Seriously, he was hurt all year, but they didn't really need him so he didn't need to step it up. On the contrary, he's a sweet probowler who just signed on to an already good team. This spells problems for us. Just watch. I wouldn't have minded giving him a go, but he's too expensive...doesn't mean he's washed up though. Doesn't mean he's even closed to washed up. He's a big boy player and he'll unfortunately probably show it against us. Hopefully not though.

Ray Mickens isn't making it to the pro bowl anytime soon, but he's not garbage. He's been a pretty solid player on a pretty solid D, whether I like him/them or not. He's certainly no worse than Mario "Toast" Edwards.

Still, if we do want another CB, I'd pick up Buckley for a year. He's servicable and it seems like he wants to be here.

Yeah, I was hoping he'd land in Detroit. Anywhere but the AFC East.

he was a GREAT nickelback and a decent starting QB when he had to start. People forgte Aaron Glenn was hurt in '98 down the stretch and ray filled in and was great on our mrach towards the AFC East Title and the AFC Title Game. He cand efintiely still play and would make any team better.
