I'm watching the game, under a minute in the game, and a big mimai LB blitzs from around the end and runs' through the RB to make the QB throw early. #46

On the roster hes' listed as a RB...

hmmm...

Na... I am pretty sure that is Jason Glenn... could be wrong. I think he is the one that picked it off for the TD too...

I believe it is Glenn as well. But I could be wrong. Pre-season, all the training camp fodder have random jerseys. Numbers may be shared.

I think Boa is out for the year with a torn ACL that he suffered in NFL Europe.

Glenn is the same size as Eddie Moore, who most seem to consider as undersized for a LB. After we signed the former Jet, he was pretty much dissed on this MB as a wasted signing, camp fodder, etc.
Since fan opinions can change faster than the weather, I'd guess he'll be thought of more favorably, at least for one week. :)

I was never a big fan of Glenn, but I have never seen much from him. I have never promoted, nor insulted the fella. I honestly had not even heard of his signing, he has potential but really won't crack the starting line-up. Could be solid backup and STs.

He could challenge for a backup spot due to his special teams play. When we played the Jets the last couple of seasons, Glenn seemed to get his number called a lot for making a tackle or asst on kick coverage. He may make a better special teamer and backup LB than Ayanbadejo because he is more instinctive if needed to play on the defense due to an injury.

He definately looks like he has more physical talent than Brendon. Damn I miss Tommy Hendricks.

Anyone with the game taped or on TIVO know if #46 was the one who picked off the pass for a TD? I am pretty sure it was Jason Glenn. He is a smaller LB for the kind that Saban prefers, but he is really good in pass coverage (as I have said in my reports from camp). He gets a good first break on the ball once thrown and I have seen some nice pass break ups in practice. He would be good to use in passing situations but isnt an every down starter...
