IF we do have a shot at getting one who would you want as our RB?

EJ would just make our team unbeatable, as is; but would probably force us to not re-sign Jay and Lo Bro, cut Bowens. Given the contract and state of the Daryl G situation, this (trade and signing either of the 2 big name players) is not a realistic scenario.

BTW - Jay has done fine for us considering our lack of run game and pathetic OL.

Jay has done okay. His lack of consistency is the only problem I have with him.
That being said, I have no problem letting Jay find other employment this offseason. I don't think he is a difference maker on this team. All we need is some one to come in and play mistake free football at the QB position, not someone who has to carry the load. Ray Lucas will be at least as good as Fiedler in that respect. Trust me when I tell you that we will not resign Jay. he will get a contract from some QB poor team that will be more than what the fins are willing to pay for his services. Ray was signed last year for this very reason. Lucas will be ready to step in and take over and hopefully have to fight off a much improved Cade McKnown, who will get his turn the following year.

Are you guys crazy, there is no way that Indy or NO will trade their RB's to Miami. You'll have to wait for them to be FA to go after them.

We know we probably have to wait until they are FA, but they are unhappy now where they are which would lower their cost.

InFin

right now a QB that plays mistake free football and does not carry the load would not score any points since we have no running game.

I had to go with Williams, James got hurt and that might effect him next year.

Ice, i hope Cade is ready next year also, barring a miraculous turnaround, i don't think he will be. But hey, with a new offensive co-ordinator coming in everyone will be starting even so maybe he can win the job, you never know.

39, I am assuming that the offensive line will be improved next year, they will at least be healthier. I also hope that we can steal Najeh Davenport in the draft. With him getting injured and not playing in the national spotlight tonight he might fly in under the draft radar. He could be an excellent runner for this team and a killer change of pace from Minor who will, no doubt play a bigger role in this O next year.

I would expect if we make Shula O coord we will want to keep Jay, otherwise, the new guy would decide.

We just need someone to replace JJJ and Lamar, Davenport is big (if I remember) so that is good.

There are quite a few RB's coming out this year, the draft is deep there so we should be able to pick up a good one.
39, I have a question, do you remember way back in the beginning of the year when we all predicted Fiedlers stats for the season? Can you find that thread?

can't find it, it may have been before AJ put out the new version of the board.

That's what I thought. Oh well, i think I said something like 3400 yards 20 td's and 19 ints, and a 60% completion percentage.:p

I was predicting 362 / 564 64.2% 5,084 yards 48 TDs

Whooops just had 1984 flashback - Jay what you been givin' me. ;)

Really I thought 2800 and something like 18/12
