When I saw that AZ TD play where he got hurt I thought his knee got shredded. It seemed to be first hyper-ex'd then twisted. When I saw it in the first replay I was like "Oh, he done for the year!"
I thought he was asking for a cart... Minor miracle he survived that hit...he sat there and pointed at his patella tendon.
thought he was done
POS like that needs to be terminated. It was a dirty play by Maxx Williams. He did the same chop block to Baker earlier in the game.
Especially since he was already in the endzone when he did it there was no reason to go that low.POS like that needs to be terminated.
That was a clean play. Calais Campbell came up the middle w penetration and lunged at Ryan. It wasn’t intentionally a move to injure. He had no other play to make - dive at the QB while lunging up the middle.Arizona was also the team that chopped Tannehills knee a few years back
Point is all these players know going after another players legs (wherever wherever) creates a much higher probability (chance) of injury -- and potentially serious injury -- than staying high. I mean that's just basic. Some OL coaches etc. really promote chops and D players rightfully resent it! I'd be totally OK if any "block" below waist was outlawyed. That was a clean play. Doesn't matter re intention. It's what he did. And it wasn't necessary.I agree it did look bad and then all of sudden I saw he was back on the field. Also, I don’t think the Cardinal player that threw the block tried to hurt him on purpose. He even came over to McCain to see if he was ok.
