I have never thought anyone was trying to lose. Just not enough talent to win.
We are starting to look better while Cincinnati and Atlanta are looking worse. Add in Washington and our pick may be 2-4. If Tua is #1, we will have to look elsewhere. Herbert, Fromm, Love, another year of Fitz and Rosen, ?
I hope we do not trade up (we need pics for many positions).
Remember 1996; Manning and Leaf we’re both thought 1 and 2 or 2 and 1.

Should be enough talent to avoid moving up, I wouldn't want to burn pics to do it. We have way too many holes to fill. If it winds up being 2021 so be it. Play the long game here, we're not turning it around in one year.

With the way Burrow is playing and the hype he's getting he might even go 1st overall to the Bengals if they win out on the tank sweepstakes. Think he fits more of Zac Taylor's offense, if he's still the HC.

No we are not looking better. We have 0 wins against much easier schedule than all three teams. If it wasn't for the byeweek we'd be #1 at draft charts.

Herbert fits them better than Tua as well. I don’t think they are competition for Tua if that’s who we want but we still have to worry about them trading out to another team. Either way much rather have the pick of the litter or the option that if Herbert/Burrow and Tua grade out about the same to them imagine trading down to 4/5 still getting our guy and another 1st next year and maybe a 3rd this year.

They’ll find a way to justify playing Rosen against the Bengals. And we’ll fake more injuries. It will be okay.

Comes down to it Tua is worth every 1st round pick we have in 2020 +

While the Saints seem to be doing good without Brees, they seemed to have assembled a very good offensive line with a powerful running game coupled with a good defense, when they run into the other top teams without Brees it will be interesting to see if they can hang.

What would you give up to get the next Peyton Manning or Dan Marino, that's the quality of player I think Tua is.

It did look like there was 2 Tua in 2020 and Lawrence in 2021, this year Lawrence is looking like a project only slightly better than the rest of the QB's in the 2020 class, will any other 2020 QB's develop?

Not sure what this coaching staff thinks of Tua, it would be mind boggling if they passed on him

Think you’re overhyping Tua. While he’s a great prospect maybe best in last 7-8 years, giving up picks to get him I can’t justify. Either finish with the 1st pick and draft your guy or if you don’t have a qb you like at your pick trade back pick up another 1st next year and build an elite defense. Everyone thinks elite QB is the way to go but the list of great qbs to win a Super Bowl without an elite defense is a very short list.

Too many big holes to give up all our firsts for Tua. I agree he’s the best qb coming out, but we have so many needs we cannot ignore them for one player. We need to get as many talented players as possible.

I seriously hope Miami wins at least one game even if that means the Dolphins lose out on Tua. Under that scenario, Young could be in play with maybe Fromm from the Steelers pick? Or do you automatically take a quarterback first, either Herbert or Burrow?

Watching the Buffalo game, the Dolphins lack of big play guys on defense really hurt at the end. A player like Young could have a huge impact. Then again, I think the whole "tank," rebuild (whatever you want to call it) is all about finding a top 10 caliber quarterback. Besides Tua, I think Herbert might have the best chance to be that. I haven't seen enough of Burrow and I think scouts will view Fromm as mid-tier.

Definitely. Anyone not mentioning his name in this discussion needs to wake up.

He's leaped all but one prospect right now, IMO.

Only problem with that is when is the next good one coming out, and no I don't think I'm over hyping him. Offense wins championships anymore and that requires a very good QB or some very good luck. You want to be a consistent winner you need both. Who wants to watch defensive games there boring,

If you build a great D before you get your QB and offense set, you won't be able to keep the D together by the time you do, so what's the point?

Tua is worth it.

Do whatever it takes!
