Re-sign John Jerry

I can get down on this resigning. He is slightly above average, knows the system, and not expensive. Fine by me. 2014 line-

That isn't really that much better then this season....why do you hate Tannehill?
 
Haha, maybe your right. I just don't want to see more than 3 turnover. Cohesion is important.

I agree on the cohesion and I hate that the Phins have to replace so many players especially since they have used a second and a third round picks in the last two drafts on lineman who have 1) left the team and 2) can't get on the field despite having one of the worse lines that had to deal with three starters being out.

All lineman are fat every year....and it isn't about Jerry being a starter it is about having some decent depth that knows the system...

Asameah( RG)- +4.9 pass, 0.9 run.

Johnson (RG)- -4.9 pass, -5.1 run.

Collins (LT)- +6.2 pass, -0.8 run

Harris (RT-6, LT-3)- +0.1 pass, +2.3 run.

Oher (RT)- -0.7 pass, -12.1 run.

Safford (RT)- -0.8 pass, +2.2 run.

On the run, yes but improved from last year. On the pass, completely disagree and I focus on the OL every re-watched game. We have to be watching different players or with different eyes.

For me it's Jerry as a starter.
 
wow oher really sucked it up this year ,i take johnson off my list i think looking at those stats , thanks!!!!
 
I say Pouncey is a lock and McKinnie is supposedly signed through next year..That leaves Jerry who isn't playing bad and Garner who is playing pretty good. A left or right tackle and possibly a guard is a must in the draft...We also need a power back but not sure who's out there.

He was the guy that yielded the sacks at the end of the Tampa game when the team had a chance to tie with a FG or go ahead with a TD. Two false start penalties last week when the team needed the experienced guys to come through. He is not good enough and should be replaced ASAP.

Definetly let us down big in the Tampa game. It wasn't the usual suspects Clabo and now gone Martin. Big test this week lets see how he holds up. On a side note is it me or does everyone feel McKinnie's side is locked down. He's missed a couple of blitz pickups but if he's been beaten physically to this point I haven't seen it.

He did give up 1 sack vs TB, and that was the only one in the last 5 games. He did have the 2 penalties vs SD, and 1 the rest of the year. I'm looking at his body of work for the year which has been good, and that includes coming off injury at the start of the season when he struggled for 2-3 games.
