If Ireland is such a dam smart and a really good GM... Then why is this team the laughing stock of the league... If he is all that persceptive at spotting talent, then why are we in the rebuilding mode? If he is all that brilliant of a business man.. then why are players and coaches running away from this team as fast as they can?

shhhhh jeep... people dont want to listen to that. "your not a real fan!" hahahaha

The question was ridiculous because before you go into that interview you had a staff of people investigating every bit of this kids life. You know everything about him before you sit down. So even if you don't know what street corner she worked on, you knew his parents had their issues.

He had no reason to ask the question and embarrass the kid. PERIOD. The question was indefensible. And now we as fans are paying for it

If it was your team and you were the owner or GM, what would you ask? If you didn't at least ask somethhing about it your a taking a big risk. These kids make a lot of money and fans invest time, money and passion in this game. I would want to find out the answer to that question. Ask it in a better way maybe, fine. But off limits, no way. Then let me ask you. If it is wrong to ask those questions, would it be ok to pass on a player becuase asking them an uncomfortable question might make them sad or hurt their selfesteem. These guys are tough enough to handle it.

Oh please LET'S CALL the WHAMBULANCE!!!!!!

I don't think any one thinks he is a damb smart GM. What I think is this team was a laughing stock before Ireland came here. Do you remember 2007?

I love the meme that the Fins are the laughingstock of the league. Why, because Armando says so? Because upstanding citizen Joey Porter says so?

The Jets locker run was a grease fire at the end of the season, they inquired about Peyton - were instantly rebuffed. They hired our fired HC, to run thier offense (like our offense was so great.) You have players tweeting they don't want Tebow and their FO lied to their recently signed backup QB - but the Fins are the laughingstock? The Texans got closer than ever before and what have they done this offseason? Not gone after Manning, not resign their former #1 pick and trade their D captain. And also cut team leader Eric Winston. But the Fins are the laughingstock? That is just pure media spin that is feeding into the fanatics that follow the Fins.

And what players / coaches ran from the Fins that we had a legitimate shot for? Fischer was never coming here, neither was HArbaugh. Neither was Clark, Alex Smith or Peyton Manning. If anything they all used the Fins

Ireland continues to get pruductive guys for cheap and digs everywhere for them! Who else in the league does that? Cam Wake for peanuts. And belichick is the genius? Currently, belichick is picking up our oldies. Look down our roster, we are so young.

I would much rather have this guy than most anyone we have had in the past for the last 20 years.

Dolphins 6-10 no playoffs, Patriots Superbowl bert

If we could get rid of Armando and Ireland that would be a great offseason.

Lets look at the NE Patriots who are the AFC Super Representatives.

Phins have let go and Pats have signed to their Super roster:

WES WELKER: Top 5 WR in the league
Ninkovich?: Pass Rusher we are looking for. They know how to use him.
AJ EDDS: MLB we could use
Will Allen: Nickel Back
Sammy Morris: RB
Drafted Gronkovich and A. Hernandez in the same year knowing we needed a TE: We got FASANO

Soon they will have Y. Bell in their secondary.

Is your Mother a prostitute is a direct question with a yes or no answer. Not a question that gets much info. How about "What does your Mother do, tell me about her?

Call me skeptical, but I will wait to see what Ireland decides to do at QB before I give him a grade....Moore is not horrible, but we cannot say he is the heir apparent to Marino just yet, or that he ever will be. Hopefully we can draft the right QB, but we don't know if Tannehill, Weeden or someone else is that guy.

You can thank me if you want:)

If someone told you, “My father was a pimp and my mother worked for him”, what would you do? Probably stay quiet and assume that this person’s mother was a prostitute, right? It’s a difficult subject to touch but let’s say this person was going to work for you and be paid millions. You need to dig further so you ask the logical follow-up, “Was your mother a prostitute?” This has become a well documented mistake for Miami Dolphin General Manager Jeff Ireland.
What if he would have asked, “What exactly did your mother do?” We probably would never have heard of this particular interview. That is how ridiculous this whole situation is. I believe Ireland asked a valid question in a politically incorrect way. That is all.
At the highest level, an athlete’s psychological make-up is half the battle, just ask Tiger Woods. It makes a tremendous difference if Dez Bryant’s mother was a recordkeeper or an accountant of sorts.
A recent Fireland protestor was quoted as saying, “It feels like we’ve had 13 years of rebuilding, you know?” Ladies and Gentlemen, Jeff Ireland took control in 2008!
Let’s look at the last year.
Ireland drafted Mike Pouncey (1st round), Daniel Thomas (2nd), Clyde Gates (4th), Charles Clay (6th), Frank Kearse (7th) and Jimmy Wilson (7th). All but Kearse remain on the team. The expectations are high for Pouncey and Thomas while Gates, Clay, and Wilson can prove to be steals.
The Dolphins did not trade up for quarterbacks Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert, or Christian Ponder. They passed on Andy Dalton, Colin Kaepernick, and Ryan Mallett. Instead they signed Matt Moore to a two-year contract worth $2.5 million a year.
Moore had a better season than all of these rookies, including Dalton. Dalton made the Pro Bowl and threw for more yards but he also started every game for the Bengals. Matt Moore had a higher QB rating, 87.1 to 78.2, and he had a better TD to Int ratio. I expect Moore to, again, beat all of these guys in 2012. Moore makes less money than Locker, Gabbert, and Ponder and is only 27.
Ireland was criticized for not being as brilliant as Arizona’s GM Rod Graves, who traded a 2nd round pick and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie to the Philadephia Eagles for Kolb. Graves proceeded to sign Kolb to a 5 year/$63 million contract with $21 million guaranteed. Fireland protestors, this was your guy. Ireland chose Matt Moore for $2.5 million. Get the picture.
Ireland said no to Kyle Orton and traded Jonathan Amaya for Reggie Bush. I’ll say it again, reserve safety Jonathan Amaya for 1000 yard rusher, Reggie Bush. They also swapped sixth-rounders if you want to be technical.
Is Matt Moore not new and shiny enough? He is only 27. He is younger than Brandon Weeden, who some Dolfans want in the second round.
Ireland has no clue about running a franchise or does he?

Jeff is that you ? wow jeff yu know that Matt Moore isnt a franchise QB as well as the fans ,and Jeff you cant compare a guy that has been in the league for 3-4 years and sit behind a vet and learned quite a bit , to a rookie thats just getting up to NFL speed and learning how the NFL is soooooo diff from college ,and im just about possitive Jeff that it was Ross that said NOOO to Orton ,not you Jeff but even comparing a rookie to a guy that has been in the league would take , somebody that doesnt know football at all , so Jeff please do us all dolphin fans a favor ,dont go away mad , JUST GO AWAY PLEASE .
