I have noticed the great amount of attention that fans have been giving to practice reports. I like practice reports and it gives me a fix for information, but sometimes I and others have placed too much on them. As most of you know comparing practice performance with game performance is probably not a fair comparison. With our secondary problems there is great emphasis on corners and safeties getting beat even in practice. Howard and Richard have been highlighted as getting beat on plays involving Gilmore and Chambers. Well, chances are those two are going to light up a number of dbs this year. A more accurate account of where guys are will be by the third or fourth preseason game of the year. Being that Saban is an old db coach and a former db himself, I will attempt to control my panic and trust his judgement; afterall his job is directly related to that situation and he can worry enough for the both of us.
