All these people on the board asking for cam's head and saying they are no longer fin fans, please leave we don't want you. When you look at what the dolphins needed WR Return Man and Qb were on the list. If by evaluating the Qb's Cam felt that Quinn was closer to Beck than Russell I agree with the pick. What is Quinn a Pro ready QB with intangibles who isnt the best passer but has adequate skill set. With Beck you get a mature passer who is very accurate. THATS THE KEY HERE. Remember when Chris Carter came and laughed cuz we couldn't complete passes in practice. Its been abysmal. I like Beck allot and think that he can be a very good qb for us. The age s a number he hasn't had the beatings of a 26 year old qb so i don't see that being a factor. With Ginn we get a guy who has speed and that game changing big play ability, he was the one teams tried to stop so he made AG a star. I think he can be in that Santana Moss Steve Smith type of player. Fact is give Ginn his time to grow into a good receiver it will take time so i dont want to hear bust till in year 3.
 
I am going to have to agree with you. I personally am happy with the the draft so far. I reall y am happy with the picks so far, especially the C out of HI. The only question I have is where does Booker fit in? and how it affects Ricky's return. But I think we improved our team today and am personally looking forward to tomorrow.
 
I think we had a great draft. After looking at Becks highlights all this guys does is hit his wr in stride, and can throw it long. Just what we need. The center was a great pic, and Ted Ginn is awesome. I agree if people cant get behind this team and these pics then go to another team. We dont need people who compain about everything. This is our team so now support it! Go Fins
 
I understand what you're saying and I agree to an extent about the bickering among fans....but don't use the "real" fans stuff.

People, such as myself who were disappointed that we didnt take Quinn, can feel upset and voice our opinions. I've settled down over the past several hours....but I was never at a point where I'm saying I'm done with this organization. I'm a Dolphin fan regardless of what they do.

But I caution you, again, I wouldnt use the "real" fans label because there is a fine, dangerous line you walk there. There are ALL kinds of different fans. Some are homers that only see the positive...others see nothing but negative. Yet both can still be great fans. If a person chooses never to cheer for the Dolphins again, then let them be. We'll continue to stick with this team thru the good and bad and hope that someday this organization will be #1. :wink:

Not even close...

Wes had 1 TD in 297 returns in his past three years.

Ginn had 8 in 94...

.3% vs. 8.5%

...and even factoring in the higher level of competition in the NFL, if Ginn's ratio gets pushed down to 3%, it's still 10 times Welkers numbers... it's still over 3 TDs per year... :tongue:
 
See, that's the negative stuff we don't want tailwalker. How can you not be excited about a wr that can pretty much burn almost anyone. I also loved today's picks and hope more follow. Love the center pickup, that line is already better.

Booker is a Travis Minor protoype. Kinda like what they did in San Diego with Darren Sproles... Hes a situational guy that can be a backup as well. This has no impact on Ricky.
 
Ginn BETTER be as good as Cam thinks he is, or we lost our franchise QB for the next 10 years AGAIN.

I'm sorry, but how do you know there was not one starter. Ginn may or may not start. Until the season starts we don't know. Beck Probably won't start this year. I do think Satele has a good chance of starting this year. Hopefully he will start at C and Hadnot will move back to G.
 
oh please. I am a real fan and i will stay a fan but that doesn't make me blind or stupid. if you accept mediocrity you get it.

this is one of those things educated people know. just because you support something doesnt mean you have to say you like the way things are going. in fact if you dont like they way things are going and you dont say it then you are a sheep

Being a SHEEP DOES NOT MAKE YOU A REAL FAN IT MAKES YOU A MORON. I dont want sheep for my peers, i want free thinking individuals that dont call people fake fans for saying they are unhappy.

I can see where your coming from, but I can also see where the orignal poster is coming from as well. I am not implying that anybody is any certain way, but there seems to be a few posters on here that complain no matter what the Brass do and it does get frustrating hearing it all the time.
 
sorry guys I'v been here for sometime and I don't post much as you can see from my info. I am no fairweather fan.but I think even without getting Quinn we could have don alot better today
