This sums up my feelings on this situation. Look, manning was the only quarterback I would have actually made a run at. Yeah, we didn't get manning. However, he was also a big gamble. In my opinion, this team is doing the right thing. I am tired of second chance QB's. We have been doing that for years and gotten nowhere. C'mon you bunch of whiney babies. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Many franchises go through this and do not hear this kind of nonsense from there fans. Here's an idea, get off the bandwagon now. Oh yeah, don't come trying to catch it once it's gone!

What does it say to you that 5 years later Ireland is STILL looking for a qb.

Agreed. Lets build trough the draft starting with QB.

How many have we been in position to take? Exactly, none and that's my point. When you panic, you are bound to make mistakes. Just look at the Cardinals and tell me if they regret panicking........ answer is yes and now they are tied to Kolb for the length of his contract.

Could have attempted to trade up for RG3. Hell, could have tried trading up many times. The cardinals may regret kolb but how exactly are we in a better situation sitting on our hands?
 
We are in better shape because the money is in the bank for the right guy. Arizona already blew their load and didn't have the money to offer Manning a serious contract. One of those might turn out to be a good quarterback, but all i am saing is this is not that bad. We may actually say that these guys did the right thing when the season starts.

It says Bill Parcells wanted Long over Matty Ice, and since then we haven't been in position to get a good QB, even the guy in NE wasn't picked by a lot of teams, 3 rounds later, that's worst than our 2nd rounders..
 
Totally agree OP. I also believe it is only fair to judge Ireland since Parcells left and IMO he had an excellent draft last year and signed Matt Moore & Kevin Burnett through FA.
 
i'm sure we explored trading up whenever someone was there that we liked. you have to play the cards you're dealt. ireland has been in charge for one season. time to shut up and give him a chance to build on last season.
