Round 1: Jermaine Gresham-TE-Oklahoma

Analysis: The truth is we need to surround Chad Henne with as many weapons as possible and Gresham is the best player on the board when we pick. Gresham is not as accomplished of a blocker as Brandon Pettigrew but is a far more dangerous pass catcher and is a real seem buster. He provides a vertical threat that our offense currently lacks and is capabale of making tough catches.

Round 2: Brandon LaFell-WR-LSU

Analsysis: The Dolphins need a legitimate #1 receiver and I do think they will be players for Miles Austin or Antonio Bryant in free agency but I see them trying to move Tedd Ginn Jr. LaFell has great size and good speed who can come in and make an immediate impact

Round 3: AJ Edds-LB-Iowa

Analysis: Edds is a guy who can convert into the middle to play Inside Linebacker in a 3-4 defense. Edds is tremendous in pass coverage and an above average tackler.

Round 4: Dexter Davis-OLB-Arizona State

Analysis: Stout against the run and good pass rushing ability who could take over at either WOLB or SOLB . A future pass-rush combination of Cameron Wake and Davis looks solid

Round 6A:Cam Thomas-NT-North Carolina

Analysis: The Dolphins need to get depth and talent here because Jason Ferguson is as good as gone and Paul Soliai has shown glympse of being a good player but needs to become more consistent.

Round 6B: Brandon Carter-OG-Texas Tech

Analysis: A Bill Parcells draft wouldn't be complete without some kind of Offensive Linemen being drafted. Carter is rugged and fits the mold of a Parcells linemen. Providing more depth to our solid offensive line.

Round 7A:Torrell Troup-NT-Central Florida

Analysis: We have seen the Parcells era draft two players at same position in previous drafts ie Sean/Vontae Davis and Lex Hilliard/ Jalen Parmele. Troup is a late round sleeper

Round 7B: Damion Fletcher-RB-Southern Mississippi

Analysis: We will resign Ronnie and Ricky is back but Ricky won't be around forever.

I actually really like it.

Getting two huge weapons for Henne would be big. Gresham is a great talent and would most likely start right away if his injury is fully healed.

LaFell is a good combo of size and speed. If he's there in the 2nd, that's a must grab in my eyes.

Edds, I definitely like watching play. Versatile, something this team loves.

Seems to cover all needs. Good job.

not bad real...but please do better than brandon lafell at wr in the 2nd...my only real gripe...maybe plug demarious thomas there instead

austen lane is another potential solb that people are talking about but i know people are high on dexter davis also

If..., a big if mind you, we go O in rd 1 - I like the pick and stocking up on LBs and NTs

i don't know why everyone is so damn high on brandon lafell...he's not showing me legit #1 wr upside

demarious thomas is a guy who could be a monster in a few years...assuming benn and tate are gone by that mid 2nd round pick i'd be looking at thomas and that upside if i was looking wr there

He has great size and a knack for the end-zone. Receivers such as Dez Bryant, Damian Williams, Golden Tate, Arrelious Benn really have no chance being there in Round 2. It was between Demaryius Thomas and LaFell; I chose LaFell b/c Thomas despite having great size seemed to disappear at times...

RD 1: Interesting pick. There's obviously the issue with his health - which shouldn't be that hindering. Assuming we decide to go offense, the only other player that I can see us taking is A. Benn. To your credit there's a bigger drop off from Gresham to the next TE than A. Benn to Lafell.

RD 2: I don't know why some people here are down on Lafell. I have him as the 3rd best WR prospect.

RD 3: Think we might be able to get better value than Edds here. I've been a not-so-quiet supporter of Micah Johnson as a 3rd RD pick. If he is able to make a transition to ILB (again, don't know about spending a high pick on a player you're asking to change positions), he's a good athlete. I can see the reasoning.

RD 4: Davis is interesting. I haven't followed him closely. Do you have any info on the reason for his drop off this season?

. . .

I like the areas you addressed with the rest of the draft. Not my mock, but I like it.

I'm not sure I agree with that....I think as many as 4 of the WR's mentioned in this paragraph have an outstanding chance to make it to the 2nd round...

I could nitpick a selection or two in the mock....mainly Carter (I have this thing against TT offensive lineman due to the wide splits)....but overall I like it....especially Cam Thomas and Troup late...

if all those other guys mentioned were gone i go with the bigger upside player...

lafell just looks like a #2 guy to me

I would love for Dexter Davis to be in a Fins uniform next year. I think he will make the transition to OLB very well.

I like him as well, and not just because I am an ASU alum. He makes lots of tackles and can get the sacks as well.

Hate it.

Wouldn't be my first choice but not awful.

Round 3: AJ Edds-LB-Iowa

Analysis: Edds is a guy who can convert into the middle to play Inside Linebacker in a 3-4 defense. Edds is tremendous in pass coverage and an above average tackler.

Hate it. Davis is too short, too slow, and plays with his hand in the dirt. I don't like his chances of converting to 34 OLB in the NFL.

Round 6A:Cam Thomas-NT-North Carolina

Analysis: The Dolphins need to get depth and talent here because Jason Ferguson is as good as gone and Paul Soliai has shown glympse of being a good player but needs to become more consistent.

Hate it. Thomas has shown me less than Soliai.

Hate it. Think Georgia Tech or Virginia Tech not Texas Tech. Also you forgot about our third 6th round pick.

Round 7A:Torrell Troup-NT-Central Florida

Analysis: We have seen the Parcells era draft two players at same position in previous drafts ie Sean/Vontae Davis and Lex Hilliard/ Jalen Parmele. Troup is a late round sleeper

Love it.

Round 7B: Damion Fletcher-RB-Southern Mississippi

Analysis: We will resign Ronnie and Ricky is back but Ricky won't be around forever.

Never heard of him.

Overall not a bad job considering we don't know our draft position yet or which juniors are declaring.
