My Projected Free Agent Signings

1) LB Lance Briggs

-Already been rumored to be interested and for those who say he doesn't fit our system, he fits anyone's system. He is the best OLB in the game and would give us the best linebacking core in the enotire league.

2) Kris Dielman G

- This guy is loyal to Cam Cameron since he was coached by him in college at Indiana and for five years with the chargers. Releasing Jeno James and replacing him with Dielman would automaticaly imrpove our offensive line.

3) Roman Oben T

-Veteran FA who would add good depth to our OLINE and be a situational(injury replacement) starter.

They all look good to me, but I think Briggs gets franchised.

yea, im afraid Briggs wil be franchised...
which would leave us with possibly adlieus thomas..
but yea, i agrre with your free agent list..

I agree although I still think going after Asante Samuels would be choice too! With a good dominant corner our D will be #1 next year!

I think Thomas gets franchised as well...

I don't think the Bears will franchise Briggs, there's a lot of talk that they actually think he's overrated. He also said he wants to be the highest paid LB in the league, which he definitely doesn't deserve to be.

I agree that signing Asante Samuels should be a bigger priority for us than getting a linebacker. Our corners were awful last year and Samuels is one of the best young players in the game. His price tag probably rose with his performance last night though. Signing Dielman should also be a top priority.

He also played for one time offensive line coach for the chargers Hudson Houck who is now our offensive line coach!!!!!

I thought I read already that Briggs would be franchised by the Bears if other teams try to snipe him. I dont see us getting that lucky.

Not too shabby. I'd be happy with Asante Samuel or Nate Clements though too in the event we couldn't get Briggs or Adalius Thomas...

I'd love to have Kris Dielman, but I believe that it won't be easy to pry him away from SD. They could tag him with the "Transitional Free Agent" tag. (I doubt they will use their "Franchise Free Agent" tag on him).

If they do tag him w/ the TFA tag then SD would have the right to match any offer. If they pass on that we'd be responsible to comp them accordingly.

we dont have to give them anything if he is transitioned tag....remember steve hutchinson was transitioned instead of franchised and seahawks lost out because of the poison pill that the vikings put it in. if the chargers went that route they have right of first refusal.
